No LW have made personal related attack threads.
Why are we allowing personal attack threads?
It's only the RW that are posting personal attack threads, against the individuals....Delete the RW scum threads with target certain LW members!

I just think that some "lefties" have a sense of "entitlement" which is not matched by a sense of responsibility.

As in really can't get a job, even if they move to an area of higher employment.

There are things you can do to make yourself more employable. Education, experience, preparing well for interviews.
Where jobs are unavailable that's a different matter and it affects many many people who are "unemployed".
I see that as a separate issue to someone being "unemployable". If that makes sense???

Yes it does, and it perhaps the wrong choice of word. I do think though that people should be prepared to move to another area if there's not much hope of their own area ever being a good one for jobs.

Re: Personal threads to attack LW posters!
Unbelievable! If you look at both these threads they're actually complaining the personal abuse made by two posters in particular - the fact that they're "left-wing" has sod all to do with it! Yes Catman and Bobbin you know who you are!Catman wrote:https://newsfix.niceboard.com/t2880-the-art-of-posting

Re: Personal threads to attack LW posters!
Proof of who's doing the abuse and who isn't. I read last night's efforts and found this. Now all I ever do when I get the filthy abuse aimed at me, like constantly being called Tess the dog by Catman and also now by his sidekick Bobbin, (who isn't bright enough it seems to even come up with his own insults), is to try to turn the situation into a joke, to inject some humour into it. Hence:
Tess. wrote:
Oh LIGHTEN UP! Even Beekeeper's managed to make a joke of it!!
Original Quill wrote:
Not before you show some responsibility, Tess. I've seen too many of these things tear apart boards. Is this the way you behave when you are in another's home?
Catman wrote:
Oh...She (Tess the UKIP dog) has always been there in the background, stirring things up, pretending to be ever so polite, but a closer look at that UKIP dogs postings would prove, what that thing is all about. She's crapping all over the place.
Let's not even mention the filth Beekeeper's posted about me; it is Sunday after all. Yet when anyone complains the two abusers start crying that they're being picked on and the abused get the blame for mentioning it! I give up.

Re: Personal threads to attack LW posters!
Most of the RWers I know come from working class families who've seen their way of life destroyed by stupid LW policies; the abolition of grammar schools so that only rich kids who can afford a private education get a good one for example. Anyway I won't go on, it'll be endless. Back on topic, now that you're on Les, could you comment on Catman's latest insult calling me homophobic? He trots this insult out so often that it's become meaningless. You know I'm not homophobic - why call me it?Eilzel wrote:Raggamuffin wrote:I just think that some "lefties" have a sense of "entitlement" which is not matched by a sense of responsibility.

My point wasn't 'all RWers are this' Tess; I'm trying to make the point that all LWers are not irresponsible with a sense of entitlement- not even the majority; not are all RWers a certain way. For love of sanity can we just stop with the generalizations one way or the other?????????
I know you aren't homophobic Tess; I am pretty sure I've said as much recently to catman; but he is beyond reasoning where RW posters are concerned; I'm barely beyond condemnation myself, the Liberal snake that I am

Not much of one; my parents are working class and not what I'd call well off (though they live well) and I have two sisters. Whatever is left will be very modest. But to be honest it isn't something I give much thought too.

Superficially, yes, but it's not as simple as that is it? What does being a Labour or Tory supporter actually mean? What values do they stand for?
TO PUT those differences even more succinctly, to the point, and hopefully more clearly, again ~
Conservatives ("Tories"), a.k.a. Right old Whingers : only interested in money, more money, and the power, position/status and influence it can buy ~ they generally don't give a damn about other people, or communities, or the environment at large, but only where they can 'rape-and-pillage' their excessive profits from ~ and they consider the "workers", the small businessmen, fringe dwellers, and anyone generally opposed to their "ideals", as their natural "enemies".
Lefties ~ including 'socialist democrats', 'democratic socialists', 'greenies', Greens, unionised workers, 'Liberals'; and on out to the communists/Marxists/Stalinists on the fringes and extremes : tend to place "human rights" and workers' 'rights and conditions', community and environmental health ahead of and above the economic rationalist principles, and maximising profits no matter the costs, so beloved of the Tory side of both politics and economics.
Centrists ~ or the 'middle of the roaders' : tend to be in the centre/middle range of the "political spectrum", with a bit of both positions, who may even find themselves "swinging" either way on different issues ~ while some from further right or left may sometimes like to imagine themselves as being 'centrists', the genuine ones here are those "who can clearly see both sides of the arguments..".
Are you suggesting that Tories are never workers?
How likely is a person on benefits to vote Tory? If it's not very likely, could it not be said that lefties care more about getting the tax payers' money for themselves?

I'M not "suggesting" anything, either way...
MY definitions above are widely accepted and proper definitions ~ you're welcome to look them up for yourself ~ IF you are game enough so as to learn a few new 'facts of life..'.
IF a benefits recipient, a worker on average_or lower_wages, or a genuine "small businessman" is really foolish enough as to vote for a "conservative" party ~ than that is certainly a definite sign of insanity ~ as he/she is ONLY voting so as to make themselves, their families, their communities, and the wider world that much poorer !
So you're saying that RW (Tories) = baddies, and LW (Labour) = goodies?
You also appear to be saying that benefit recipients are more likely to vote Labour. What's so virtuous about voting for a party which is likely to give you more of the tax payers' money? Let's face it - they're out for themselves, like a lot of people.

jaded fox wrote:
"I shudder that there are still a few who think it necessary to do the old fashioned cut through the bone."
The what? I have no idea what that means. I had a cockatiel for whom I used to clip her feathers. I did both sides but while she got a little grumpy she never seemed to mind over much.
Years ago (and I do mean years) it used to be considered acceptable for pet birds to be "pinioned" where at a few days old the actual bones of the birds wing would be cut to prevent or limit them flying - forever. It would be equivalent to cutting the fingers or even whole hand off a baby human.
I noticed someone suggest even clipping to be inhumane - this is not always the case. In many cases having a small bird as a pet means that full flight capability is dangerous. They should be regularly let out of their cage to fly in a secure room or rooms and if unclipped there is a serious risk that if startled (by say a child suddenly shouting outside the house) they would take off vertically and crash into the ceiling resulting in serious harm possibly death. A vet will therefore recommend clipping where somewhere between 2 and 5 flight feathers are cut on one wing with the object being a bird that can still comfortably fly inside the house but is not capable of the full emergency upward flight that may result in crashing. Number of feathers cut varies between birds - and it is temporary as at next moult the feathers grow back completely and if the bird is still kept indoors the procedure will need to be repeated but if the bird is released or put in a larger outside aviary it can be left. It is equivalent if done properly to cutting nails on a human - and should be seen the same way as claw clipping on dogs - a dog doing lots of road work will not need claws clipping, one kept on soft ground will need it for its own comfort. Depending on where a bird lives having those feathers cut can make it far less likely to suffer serious injury while still allowing it fly as it wishes.

Labour create dependency to build up a voting block. More public service jobs beholden to the state more on benefits the underclass. Meanwhile they fuck the tax payers they destroy the work ethic. That's the SCUM party they create scum.
