Right, so it's your comeback which you find so amusing. Why didn't you just reply on the thread instead of starting a new one?

It's just someone who has an answer Gerbs, comeback of the week is just a bit of fun,as the comeback in question was rather brief and not very explanational!

There was a much shorter one the other week preceded by a fairly lengthy question or statement...amd our dear Shady answered...'No'..

If you were a rapist and paedophile and spent time in prison for your crimes, during that time in prison you decided to become a Christian and wanted to repent of your sins against children , would you refuse God's forgivness and punish yourself to hell for eternity or would you wnat a second chance to put things right ?
The guy in the next cell broke into someone's house and battered someone nearly to death , this guy also decided to become a Christian and accepted God's forgiveness and changed his life around completley .
would you think it fair that he is accepted by God ?

Re: JD's comeback of the week....
It's a thread, like your others JD, which encourages posters to post about each other instead of what we are here to post about.
It may start out with laughs and giggles but the threads will end up being places in which to post malicious things "under the radar".
I've said my piece, i'll stay away from them from now on.

First of all, we still don't know exactly how many different species of animals roam the planet ... we've identified some 2 million but statistical analysis suggests there may actually be 5 million or more species. So, one really big boat to put all of them on it! Plus food, you know.
And it depends on which version of the Ark story you believe, because they contain contradictory details.
Genesis 7:2
New International Version (NIV)
2 Take with you seven pairs of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and one pair of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate
But then:
Genesis 6:19-20
New International Version (NIV)
19 You are to bring into the ark two of all living creatures, male and female, to keep them alive with you. 20 Two of every kind of bird, of every kind of animal and of every kind of creature that moves along the ground will come to you to be kept alive.
Genesis 7:7-10
New International Version (NIV)
7 And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood. Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and of all creatures that move along the ground, 9 male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah. 10 And after the seven days the floodwaters came on the earth.
So everybody God wants to live is on the boat, bring on the floodwaters. But:
Genesis 7:11-13
New International Version (NIV)
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month—on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. 12 And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.
13 On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark.
So that latter one says they didn't get into the boat until the flooding was underway.
