GOT (spoiler warning)
So 2 episodes in. The suspense is KILLING me. Tonight’s episode was very funny, tense and melancholic.
This is NOT GOOD for my blood pressure.

Hahahahaha I have never seen that. Brilliant!
I know they’re all going to die, just need them to get on with it. The next episode is going to be a major bloodbath.
I still think Bran is the Night King and will end up conquering the whole of the 7 kingdoms with either Cersei or Danny as the Night Queen or just by himself because I want to see Cersei die a very slow and agonizing painful death. Danny is getting on my nerves now. Sansa has become a power. Sam and Tyrian have always been my favorites along with the wildling Tormund.
Mr. C came up with a great plot twist last night. The Ice dragon is going to somehow get into the crypt and turn all of those seeking shelter there into the walking dead and will also raise up all the dead Starks in there.

I cannot see Jon Snow dying, but see either him or the dragon Queen being turned to a nightwalker. Where they have to kill either or.
I think Bran will be the only one that is able to defeat the Night King, and it has to be within a dream.
I think most will die within the battle, but Jon Snow will survive and have inherited the Dragons. Those that survive will be few in number but will end up beating Cersei

Interesting theories! At this point it can go anywhere. Interterestinbg that we both see Bran as pivotal.
I have never read the books in full, just a synopsis but the writers have, while mostly staying true, have branched out so who knows.
It’s so great on acting, direction, storyline. Makes it very compelling.

I have heard rumours that the next episode will be the entire battle of Winterfell. A whole episode of this basically
So there is bound to be many twists and turns with this
I think his is pivotal and I think at least he let slip in an interview that he survived.
Cannot find the video I watched, where they talked about this being the last series. Yet he spoke of about how he wondered what part his charatcter would play, if they did..
That kind of made me more think, how he did survive, though could be reading too much into that lol

Stunning episode. Certainly the best battle sequence of them all (season 6 finale still my overall number 1). Can't help feel the battle with the Night King should've been how it ended though (since it started with them). Still, a fucking incredible adreniline rush (and this off the back of Avengers Endgame!). Loved the finish with Arya

I think its fitting how the Night King died and makes sense of all the training that Arya did. I did not see that coming and at times i thought some of the major players were fucked. Like Jon Snow, when the Night King just raised all their fallen comrades from the dead. I was like "fuck, what are they going to do now?" It really left a sense of hopelessness. The longer the battle went on and hats off to them for that. It really kept me on the edge of my seat.
Really the final scences is going to be about I guess in who gets to sit on the Iron throne mate.
Seriously though, I was on the edge of my seat throughout that and it was also sad to see some of the characters die, but they certainly had them die in the most heoric way.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!
I was worn out emotionally and physically. I couldn’t sit still, up and down like a yo-yo screaming my head off then crying like a damn fool. But knowing so many of my favorites survived is intriguing. Will now to to revise my thoughts on the ending. I do hope Jamie is the one to kill Cersei. Full circle as it were.
I couldn’t get to sleep!
It was awesome about Arya.
Watch this. Hilarious. Me and Mr. C were totally like the bar tweet. Onwards to Kings Landing!!

She certainly did kick arse. Oh man, when she was alone in the castle. My heart was in my throat, when she was being chased.
It really was sad, some of the loses and the music was just epic in the build up me Lady
They certainly had so many people guessing and hardly anyone got this right in their predictions. Only some of the deaths
Just seen the trailor for the next episode.
It seems both Dragons surivived which is a plus

Little Lyanna was mighty as well. And Theon! I think I cried the most about Eddison. It was almost too much to take in.
You are certainly right about the castle. But the crypt! Sansa and Tyrion! I would watch it all again but I don’t know if my blood pressure could take it!
Yes both survived but poor Viserion is gone.

Little Lyanna was so cool and hated to see that she became a white walker. After her heroic stand against the giant. It was sad to see so many great characters die.
I cannot wait for next week and not going to watch anymore predictions, as they just screw with the head lol. Rather going in with an open mind, from now on. as so many of the predictions were wrong and hats off to the producers for that.
Not sure how they are going to take on Cersei. Being as the army was decimated?

I agree re:predictions although after Melisandre reminded Arya you just knew she would be playing a part at the end of the episode. It’s best to just keep watching as intently as you can to see the portends.
AAAARRRRGGGHHH I want it to be all over but then I don’t. I had very similar feelings to Sons of Anarchy.

I have never watched "Sons of Anarchy" and people keep telling me too. So I must do at some point. Been watching the 3rd season of "Roman Empire (Reign of Blood)" from Netflix as well at the moment
I love "The Last Kingdom".
There is bound to be a massive twist at the end of GOT.

You must! It’s so well written. Like with GOT I hid behind the cushions a lot. You will see similar themes, being evil for the overall good, matriarchal society.

I think because its only episode 3 and that was such an intense adrenaline rush and leaves people wanting more
Hence its vital to have many of the main charcters left
I imagine a view will be killed off many in the last episode
They are simple keeping fans on their toes

Welp.
A bit anticlimactic but thank goodness. I don’t think I could have stood much more emotional stuff this week.
Still the tension is rising again. Only 2 more to go! I can honestly say that this has been one of the best tv shows I have watched. Ranked up at my personal top alongside M*A*S*H and Buffy.

Re: GOT (spoiler warning)
All fun still. But some things niggle in terms of combat.
Why the Dothraki charge in Ep3? What did they hope to gain? Or was it just a 'cool' moment, with an 'emotional' disappearing of lights?...
How did NO ONE invent giant crossbows in a thousand years? Apparently they are super effective on ships AND dragon skin (who knew?), and yet no one thought of this when the Targaryens dominated Westeros and Greyjoys terrorised the seas.
Also, considering he's never fired a giant crossbow at a flying target before, Euron was pretty amazing to not miss once until Drogon
I still do and will always LOVE this series. But the groundwork and storylines were set up by GRRM and it is clear as day that his writing hasn't been involved whatsoever since Season 5-6. The writers managed at first (hence Season 6 being one of the best imo, still working with some of what GRRM left them) but Seasons 7/8, while still entertaining, have been contrived AF by guys with clearly much less experience with writing epic, history inspired fantasy stories.

Your as bad as I am when it comes to historical movies
I mean isn’t the basis of fantasy genre to suspend belief?
I believe the Dothraki charge was a moment of hope offered to the characters that they might just pull it off. The sight of them going out one by one was very poignant and is the start of the desperation and change in Danny that we saw in Ep 4 and was explained by Varys in his discussion with Tyrian.
The cross bow is a slight puzzle but apart from dragon fire they didn’t have much in the way of big weapons. It has to start somewhere. Euron is a dick and a weird character to be sure and I for one will cheer heartily when he dies. I believe it will done be by Jamie who will then hopefully slay his whacko sister.
I think they are trying to compress too much into this final season with regards to what Cersei has been doing all this time and that has been sacrificed to the storyline of the night king.
All movies/series wander from the original book at some point. I admit to not reading the books thoroughly as you know I dislike fiction but that’s my 2 cents.

Fantasy is my favourite fiction genre by a mile. It is about suspension of disbelief (that fairies, dragons, elves or whatever can exist) BUT they still create rules within themselves that follow certain logic. In Lord of the Rings, Gandalf is a wizard, but he can't just grab the ring, disappear to Mount Doom and end the story right there - because that would defy the rules Tolkien set out.
In GoT, aside from the very subdued (compared to Potter and Rings) magic, and dragons, it presents itself as following pretty closely to our own history.
I agree the Dothraki scene was poignant, as intended. But a competent leader would have known it was nonsensical attack (they happen, the Charge of the Light Brigade comes to mind) and kept them in the wings. They'd have been far better coming in from the sides with the dead crushed up against the Unsullied.
And yeah, it has to start somewhere with advancing technology - but so fast, from what we are supposed to believe is a fairly incompetent regime and with such incredible ability to use that technology they just invented (not to mention producing such things in a kingdom which is entirely against them at this point), is a massive stretch.
Euron killed Rhaegal instantly, liked he'd been shooting dragons all his life
I actually feel kind of bad for the directors. They started making this in 2010, at a time it was assumed the books had two novels left to release and one of those imminent. They didn't think they'd have to write the concluding chapters themselves. I can almost imagine Martin sitting on the last books himself and cackling maniacally at how badly they've deviated. Then he'll spring whatever ending he had planned all along (this is wishful thinking, I actually believe Martin has got himself trapped and doesn't even know how to end his own series).
Again, still love it though. And I also think Jamie will kill Cersei, and can't wait to watch her stupid expression when he does

Whoa. Epic. I’m glad it’s ending next week as I can’t take much more.

Re: GOT (spoiler warning)
Another super exciting episode.
I honestly needed more to believe Dany would do that though. I understand she was pissed, and I could have believed it in time. But too early for her to be like tbh.
And I hoped a certain character would've suffered MUCH more than they did

I feel like this whole series is a bit rushed. They should have done it over two series and really built up the pressure cooker building in Dany. But I think she had to do that scorched earth thing. Like Sherman's March to the Sea. Wipe out your enemies and then some. Sansa knows this too. Jon Snow's acting like a pussy.

I said the exact same thing. There’s been a lot that’s been compressed or left out in order to get it finished. And yes they certainly could have made another season. But it’s not like we didn’t see this coming for Dany.
Euron just pisses me off. It’s like why is he even in this except to provide Theon with a reason to be redeemed.
Lez I totally agree. Was hoping it would be slow and very very painful. The Hound and Mountain was great though!

Yeah but what then?
I know!!! I suppose it’s got me wanting the prequel more during this season.
We are thinking Chernobyl next or maybe Westworld.

Going to be Starks vs Targaeryens next week, pretty exciting. Dany has her Drogon, but the Starks have their Arya. Only one winner there

And Jon will sit around wringing his hands and looking guilt ridden

He was badass in the Battle of Winterfell but really hadn’t been badass since leaving the wall.

He was alright, for all his efforts he contributed almost nothing in the end though - I feel Dan and Dave robbed him of his 'moment' to surprise us with Arya.
Praying to the Old Gods and the Seven that they give him some big moment next week
