WOULD that be the Sum of the "Arithmetic Progression" from 1 to "infinity", Veya ?

where n = number of integers up to "infinity"
i = natural integers from 1 to infinity
a (alpha) = first no. = 1
d (delta) = final no. = "infinity"

The explanation is quite long, it is used in Physics quite a bit. it is an example on an irrational number. it is the key to modern string theory.

@bee
your formula is right for every number up to infinity, but not infinity itself. the trick is the proof relies on an irrational number

1-1+1-1+1-1+1...... = 1/2
IF you stop on an odd number you get 1 and stop at an even you get 0 so the average of the 2 is 1/2. (there is greater proof but irrational numbers are confusing)
