Breakfast time radio.

I enjoy waking up to lively , newsy, and varied debate shows. I usually listen to LBC's Nick Ferrarri. He is very pro Conservative and Brexit, and always sniffs at and belittles anyone with left or remain views, but is nicely balanced afterwards by his polar opposite, James O'Brian. It is this balance of views and opinions that make it compelling listening.
It has other very good presenters in Maajid Nawaz,Iain Dale, Shelagh Fogerty and Clive Bull. Eddie Nair looks a good signing too.
For a change I tuned into Talk Radio, hosted by Julia Hartley-Brewer.
What an obnoxious old sow she is. Katie Hopkins reinvented. She actually HATES and abuses anyone left of her far right view...
Does she actually believe her ridiculous rhetoric, or does she just act to provoke debate?
The clue to the answer is Ferrarri's figures are rising, at the expense of Brewer
No wonder she was released by LBC.

How can you listen to them?  I used to listen to Fox News, only to learn where and how the fraudulent claims are engineered.  But now it's not very subtle...just lies.  One doesn't learn from lies...there's nothing sophisticated or complicated about dishonesty.  You learn two things: 1) someone has something to hide (else, why not be forthcoming); 2) it sets up a false reality, which endangers everyone.

The last dishonest cause of the Republican Party was last year, when they tried to sell the corporate tax cut by placing alongside a personal tax cut.  Look, promised Trump and the Republicans, you will all receive about $4,000/year, free and easy money!  Well, Americans don't want free money (that's a Republican standard), and no one has seen anywhere near the $4,000/year promised....but the free money sure went into the pockets of the wealthy.

Politics used to be about deeper things, which took some probing to figure out.  Now, the Republicans and Tories don't bother.  Instead of show & tell, it's lie & tell...and we know as soon as the lies are told we've been duped.  Where's the fun?  There's no challenge to listen to unabashed bullshite.

People can make up their own minds and see whether they agree with Andy or not.
