A Romanian asylum seeker who tried to rape a widow and grabbed her late husband's police medals is facing years behind bars. Gheorthita Plesca, 44, ransacked the homes of the elderly, stealing everything from jewellery to ham from the fridge, the Old Bailey was told. Doreen Bradley was 68 when Pesca slipped into her east London home and tied her up before trying to rape her in 2001.
