The people who should have been sacked, by rights, are :

*  Whatever fools rated the movie so restrictively/for 18+ mature audiences, when it can be seen on TV and online --  with no such bullshit classifications;  and

*  Whatever morons at the school sacked a teacher simply for showing a relatively-mild, and not that scary either, "horror" movie...

Damages in wrongful termination cases usually amount to back pay and benefits, plus any damage to reputation, for a period of 5 - 8 years. That is, unless good fortune gives the guy a bright opportunity.
