Corbyn Attends Event of Far Left Hate Group
Jeremy Corbyn attended an event tonight hosted by a far-left group that has called for the destruction of Israel, dismissed the Labour anti-Semitism scandal as a “cynical manipulation” and labelled Corbyn’s Jewish critics “non-Jews”.
A leaked audio recording obtained by Guido reveals Corbyn was present at a Seder held by “Jewdas” in Islington, where guests shouted “f*ck capitalism” and booed the names of mainstream Jews. At the height of Labour’s anti-Semitism scandal, Corbyn chose to mark Passover alongside a fringe group that despises and is despised by mainstream Jews.
- Jewdas describes itself as a “radical” group that “opposes capitalism” and wants to “overthrow the state”
- It has tweeted that “Israel is itself a steaming pile of sewage which needs to be properly disposed of”
- It is viciously critical of mainstream Jewish groups. Last week it attacked the Board of Deputies of British Jews and the Jewish Leadership Council response to the Labour anti-Semitism scandal as “playing a dangerous game with people’s lives”
- It dismissed the Labour anti-Semitism scandal as a “bout of faux-outrage”
- It claimed the anti-Semitism row “is the work of cynical manipulations by people whose express loyalty is to the Conservative Party and the right wing of the Labour Party”
- In a blog post on its website four days ago, it labelled Jewish Chronicle editor Stephen Pollard a “non-Jew”
At the Jewdas event tonight, Corbyn sat for several hours and brought beetroot from his allotment as a gift. In our audio recording, guests boo the name of Jonathan Arkush, the President of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, and shout “f**k capitalism”. Their blog post last week ended with the words: “Enough is enough. F*ck you all. Chag Pesach sameach”. Corbyn’s spokesman did not respond to a request for comment.

Corbyn could have chosen to meet with the Board of Deputies, the Jewish Leadership Council, the Jewish Labour Movement or another mainstream Jewish group. Instead he went to Seder with Jewdas, a far-left group which is shunned by mainstream Jews, called for the Israel to be “disposed of” and has launched vitriolic attacks against Corbyn’s Jewish critics. For Corbyn to meet such a group is outrageous, but to do so after everything that has happened over the last two weeks shows a complete contempt for mainstream British Jews. This is going to be very, very difficult for Jezza to explain…
UPDATE: Labour say Corbyn attended in a personal capacity not in his role as Labour leader. His own spokesman is dumping on him…

Maybe you should tell all these Jews to give it a rest?
Jewish Leadership Council:
“His actions so far do not match up to his words… The fact is that his first act following that is to go to a dinner last night with an organisation who on Thursday published a letter saying that this was all smears against Jeremy Corbyn and saying that this was a right-wing conspiracy to stop him becoming the Prime Minister of this country. The issue is the message he is sending to the community… The first act that he has done towards the community speaks volumes… the mainstream leaders were booed as their names were stated at last night’s dinner at which Jeremy Corbyn was present… Surely it cannot have been sensible, if Jeremy wishes to build bridges with the community, for the first act to be attending a dinner with people who are so hostile.”
Jewish Labour Movement:
“Jeremy Corbyn’s decision to spend his evening with an organisation that said “F *** you ” to Jews who have serious and well founded concerns over antisemitism within the Labour Party, has truly topped off the worst week on record of awful relations between the Labour Party and the Jewish community. When we called on the Leader of our Party to show moral leadership, and take decisive action to stamp out antisemitism, this is not what we had in mind. Jewish Party activists have spent the weekend knocking on doors for local candidates for Council elections across the country. They do not deserve the indignity of our Leader making this situation even worse.”
Board of Deputies:
“[Jewdas] refer to antisemitism in Labour as a smear. If Jeremy Corbyn goes to their event how can we take his stated commitment to be an ally against antisemitism seriously?”
Holocaust Educational Trust:
“It was clearly deliberate. No question of intent. Mocking. And disrespectful.”
Jewish Chronicle:
“At the very time when Jeremy Corbyn is claiming to be “an ally” in the fight against antisemitism, when he is issuing finely worded statements about his commitment to that fight, the one group he chooses to endorse by his presence just days after the mainstream Jewish community protested about his refusal to take antisemitism seriously is the group that last week issued a statement dismissing the idea that there is any serious issue around antisemitism in the Labour Party… This is of course a pattern to his excuses. He didn’t see. He was unaware. He didn’t know. It’s always variations on that theme, and they are always and obviously sophistry. Mr Corbyn knew exactly what he was doing last night. And we should draw our own conclusion about his good faith in claiming to be an ally in the fight about antisemitism within his own party.”
Campaign Against Anti-Semitism:
“Given the antisemitism crisis engulfing the Labour Party, there is absolutely no way that Mr Corbyn can claim that this too was an oversight. Following the events of the past few weeks and indeed the past three years, this is a very clear two fingered salute at mainstream British Jewry. It is hard to imagine how this duplicitous man can claim to be remedying antisemitism within the Labour Party. The Party must consider the message that is sent to British Jews and other minorities by him remaining as Leader.”
Labour Friends of Israel:
“A week ago, Jeremy Corbyn claimed to be a “militant opponent” of antisemitism. He has done nothing in the past seven days to show that he is. He has instead chosen to repeatedly ally himself with those who suggest that the crisis of antisemitism in the Labour party is nothing but a smear manipulated by his political enemies. That he chose to attend last night’s Jewdas event is utterly unsurprising. It shows just how seriously he takes this problem.”
Owen Jones, Paul Mason et al are saying this story is a right-wing smear. They are shamefully ignoring all the above.

Re: Corbyn Attends Event of Far Left Hate Group
The Chief Rabbi has "grave concerns" about Jeremy Corbyn's handling of anti-Semitism, Jewish leaders have said after it emerged the Labour leader attended a Passover event hosted by an anti-Israel group.
The Labour leader faced criticism from Jewish leaders and his own MPs after attending a Seder hosted by Jewdas, a fringe group which has dismissed the Labour anti-Semitism scandal as a "bout of faux outrage".
The group has described Israel as a "steaming pile of sewage which needs to be properly disposed of" and accused the Jewish leaders who organised a protest in Parliament Square last week of "playing a dangerous game".
The Telegraph has learned that Ephraim Mirvis, the Chief Rabbi, is now considering making an intervention over the next fortnight amid mounting concern about anti-Semitism in the Labour Party.
Jonathan Arkush, President of the Board of Deputies of Jews, accused the Labour leader of attempting to "provoke" the mainstream Jewish community.

JC does seem to like the extremist type
He could have met with any number of mainstream group but this group seems to consist of self loathing nutjobs
JC is digging his own grave with each day it seems
More and more of mainstream moderate labour members are disgusted by this

Again, are you saying all these Jews are confused?
This is an extremist Far left group
So if some English called for the destruction of England, would you not class them self loathing and a hate group?
I think you are confused Tommy
The point is he has been taken to task over how he handles antisemitism and then spends time with a group, that actively hates many Jews.
I will give you more examples of their hate.
A few Corbynistas have taken the bold step of defending Corbyn’s appearance at the Jewdas seder last night, though even the Leader’s Office is spinning that he didn’t go in an official capacity. The briefest of looks at the official Jewdas Twitter feed shows they are a far-left fringe group who do not believe Israel should exist. This is what Kevin Maguire, Aaron Bastani and co are defending…
Corbyn could have met any mainstream Jewish group, instead he met one which calls for the destruction of Israel…
