Signs that Spring is coming.
First topic message reminder :
Daffodils in the shops...(just bought a bunch, £1 from M&S)
Managed to line dry a washload of towels...(first since last October)
Back home before it gets dark....(The lighter nights are definitely on their way again)

Interesting that you look negatively
Which in your case is based on warning people to actual harm they may face.
Not doom and gloom, but to be prepared. Which generally renders your argument against arming teachers redundent.
Your view is based on warning that these are actual threats that will happen
We should always be prepared, right?
Its why I love stories like this (that I have posted below), where you have someone so humble. They do not seek notoriety and attention, but simple have the ability to act when people's needs are at their most.
I bet this boy was seen as nothing special. I have seen such a poor perceived view happen before. That someone who I thought was the biggest failure going. Acted in a way, with the London Bridge bombing, to the point it changed how I looked at anyone. Here was someone that acted. That placed others before themselves.
There is nothing more great than those who do not think, buty look to save others.
My point is, you should always combat your inner most fears, like such potential diasters, but not use them to promote doom and gloom, on what is meant to be a positive thread.
Just saying
