First topic message reminder :

Anything goes nowadays...including mutton dressed as lamb and sporting thick bushy underarm hair....

Can you think of any other visible social taboos that were frowned on not so long ago that are now acceptable?

The first 2 pics were taken only 10 years apart.
I know people age, I just think her appearance changed very rapidly whilst she was still quite young.

The thing about age is that looks wise it is more apparent after a certain age. Between the ages of 20 and 40, most people don't look that much different. I have photos of me at 47 where I look very young. But once you hit late fifties you can't hold it at bay so well. Some people just age faster than others. It's about genetics too.

Kathleen Turner is 63. Very few people look young at that age.

She was only 40 in the 2nd pic.
I'm not having a go at her....I think she is a great actress...(just watched her as Joan Ryder in Romancing the stone)
My comment was how her features changed so drastically whilst she was still young...and seemingly WITHOUT plastic surgery.

I agree with you, the change was marked. Her head shape even looks different as does her nose.

Her whole face changed....it had little to do with age, but I found it quite fascinating at the time. Laughing
