L.A. Times letters editor will no longer publish letters from climate-change denialists
Paul Thornton described the decision in language that is beautiful in its logic:

Yep, sanity is a beautiful thing."Simply put, I do my best to keep errors of fact off the letters page; when one does run, a correction is published. Saying 'there's no sign humans have caused climate change' is not stating an opinion, it's asserting a factual inaccuracy."

Should mention the Sydney Morning Herald "has reached a similar conclusion." Bravo!

@ben
because there are a couple of 100 homes that just burnt to the ground just ouside of Sydney(just with in commute distance I was seriously looking at buying a house there just the week before) in early Spring a good 3 months earlier than fire season is supposed to start.
The Rural Fire service is saying the fire are a starting earlier and getting worse every year. The Firies are trusted a billion times more than media or politicans (more than Police or Doctors too). the Moderate view has shifted, seeing family homes burnt to the ground has swayed public opinion.
