My brother lives a few hundred yards from Thong. It isnt even a village. Just a few houses strung along Thong Lane Gravesend.
The classic I saw near Maidstone was in the village of Loose.
The Womens Institute was named the Loose Women's Institute.
Unsure how appropriate the name was.

It's well known that there are places called  F*cking (Austria), Hell (USA), Båstad (Sweden) etc. 

I's luv to visit all those places on holiday so that if someone (ideally a vicar or priest)  asked me if I'd been anywhere nice recently, I could loudly reel off all those obscene names without batting a lid!

Nobbys Head and Nobbys Beach are about 15kms  N.E. from here...

Wattanobbi  is about 60 kms south, down on the Central Coast..

There's a road out in one rural suburb called Lingalonga Lane.

Not sure how they'd look on a CV tho. "I did an internship at THE DUMP/GRANNY'S GUT/BEGGARY BUMPS etc"  sounds hilarious when you're trying to be serious.
