Absolute ipad shenanigans
It's my yearly bitchfest about my ipad. It won't charge and when it does it doesn't like to stay charged because it hates the life out of me. So has anyone got any ideas as to how I can fix it or what I should do with it.
If it's bad news, be gentle.

Have you tried doing the 'a-ga-doo'...?
No matter... it won't help with the Ipad problem... needs a new battery fitted...!

Is there anything else it could be? Perhaps it just needs a bit of a clean or...?

Re: Absolute ipad shenanigans
Battery fucked = need new battery...
Relatively easy and cheap to fix... and not to get ripped off... if you just start popping into some of those little 'phone repair' shops... say you need new battery for Ipad fitted... get a price... then go to next shop and say that you need Ipad battery fitted and say that you have been given $10 cheaper price than you actually have been, and ask what THEIR best price is... then carry on round doing the same until you find best offer of best price...!!!
You can get a decent 2nd hand car battery from breakers for 25 quid... and a new phone battery for 10-20 quid...
So I cant see a Ipad battery being much different price... then maybe 20 quid for some twat to spend 15 mins fitting it...?
Any more than that and youre being robbed!!!

These twats in 'phone repair' shops are all following youtube vids to see how its done...
And most of the time... you could easily fix yourself...!!!

Eds check your local Facebook sites. We have a lot here that will replace Apple or Samsung product parts like screens, batteries, cases etc...mum and jr jr have both paid to have their iPhone screens fixed. Cheaper than Apple, unless it's still under warranty (which I doubt as you've bitched about it for years).

it is not that easy to swap an Ipad battery, you have to break the seal on the case and it barely ever is quite right afterwards.
get a quote from a shop, dodgy-er the better. if you want it cheap.

Thanks guys and Veya is right - there's no way to do this myself as the battery is not clearly visible, it's sealed.

Re: Absolute ipad shenanigans
So I took it to the ipad-fixer-upper man who had bad teeth. He tried to clean it with a toothbrush which I kinda believe might have been his actual toothbrush, and then he blew in it - "Stop!" I told him, "I already tried to give it a blowjob" - and he informed me, nah, it don't work. I tell him I know all this and that's why I'm in his smelly shop looking at his rotten teeth and wondering if any germs went into my poor ipad.
Anyway, it's going to cost me seventy UK pound coins to fix.

Right... quote for 70 quid... now you go in to another one of these littlle shitty shops and say you've been quoted 60 quid already, and see what price he then gives you...
Ibet he then tells you 55 quid...!
Then go into another one saying you've been quoted 55 quid... and he will then likely say 50 quid...
The new battery is probably going to cost them 30 quid... so you are then only paying them 20 quid to fit it... which will probably only take them half hour to do, so that is still good money for them...
This strategy also works well for car repairs...

Re: Absolute ipad shenanigans
I left my ipad with the bad-teeth guy. Ain't no one got time for going place to place to save fifteen quid! I don't drive and the nearest repair shop is a train ride away, you do the maths.
I use that to write my book on and for facetiming. It's like my bestsest friend.
I miss it already.

Re: Absolute ipad shenanigans
£70 quid sounds a lot, but it'll be worth it if you get your ipad working as good as new.
