Home Office incompetence.

First topic message reminder :

100 EU nationals written to by the HO to inform them they are being deported.
It was in error.
But it raises some serious points.
The HO has had a 35% cut in staff over the past 7 years, and in most areas is no longer fit for purpose due to staff shortages.
Those that remain have endured a 7 year pay freeze, are demotivated and morale  is at an all time low.
There are compelling reasons why mistskes of this type occur, and these are of a comparatively minor and inconsequential  nature - easily identified  and remedied.
The same Home Office staff are also liable to be allowing (unwittingly) terrorist through canalised ports and airports because of insufficient staff to conduct proper and thorough checks.
The staff cuts are to continue, as is the continuation of the austerity pay freeze, whereby the HO is now finding it impossible to recruit suitable replacements for reirements and resignations due to dismal terms and conditions and dreadful pay.
It will only get worse post Brexit as EVERY foreigner, not just non EU, will require 100% Immigration and Customs controls, as will freight lorries and the freight they carry.
This will come bsck to haunt and hurt May and her austerity led Conservatives.

Anyone who defends the Government's position is encouraging terrorism.

Perhaps you need to appreciate  that not everyone is against you and you dont have to fight the world, nor have an opinion on every topic.

I admit I know little about American politics, there I dont opine too deeply into the nitty gritty,  just that which affects the UK.

Maybe you need to seek some help, if you believe people debating on a forum is believing everyone is against them or arguing.

I do not even have an opinion on every topic, nor do I debate on every single topic, showing how completely obsessed you are with certain posters Andy. Yet I will comment on any thread that interests me. I mean do you tell Quill, Veya, Wolf, Ben ect to thus then stick to American topics?

As to me, its a copout and an aspect I have fallen prey to also before. As it means giving up. That you surrender to the belief, that getting along is simple impossible and thus allowing emotions and not reason to rule our thinking.

Both of you have immense care for things you believe in. Neither of you are hateful, just easily annoyed, a trait many fall prey to on here.
