An Arizona woman who put her 17-month-old daughter in a stroller, pushed her into the desert and left her to die on the nation's largest American Indian reservation has been sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Ashley Denise Attson, 23, committed an 'intentional, cold-hearted, horrendous killing of an innocent child,' US District Judge David Campbell said Monday as he imposed the prison sentence under a plea deal.
Attson had pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the September 2016 killing on the Navajo Nation.
Attson left her daughter in the desert for four days and nights before retrieving the body and burying it in an animal hole, the prosecutors said Tuesday in a statement.
'Over the next few days, she met friends for ice cream and posted pictures of herself on Facebook,' the statement said.

I also think she should've got life. This was premeditated and she returned to get rid of the body.

She'd have been sitting in her own pee and poo too. It would have been the thirst that killed her, the dehydration. Poor little mite.

Yes I thought that too, her clothes and skin must've been so soiled. She probably struggled to get out the buggy and must've cried all the time. It's hard to imagine isn't it.
