Cannibal Rat-Infested Ghost Ship Lyubov Orlova 'Heading for Britain'

A mysterious ghost ship carrying nothing but diseased cannibal rats could be drifting towards Britain after being lost at sea for a year, salvage experts have warned.

.... Maritime experts believe that its only occupants now are cannibal rats who may have reproduced thousands of times over the course of the year after eating each other.

I blame those magical and mystical Fukushima "radiation plumes" that sassy conjures up on a slow news day..

 clown

NOW then ~ everyone stick with me for this simple maths ~ it's really not THAT hard =  even Drinky and Smelly could follow this, surely :

Rats' gestation period = 21 days;
Baby Rat's are ready to reproduce at a few months old;
Mummy rats are ready to go again a few days later;
There are 365 days in a year..

SOMEONE, somewhere ~ explain to me how a shipload of rats can reproduce "thousands of times" in one year !

OR, better yet ~ WHY do people even follow such faux "news" sites as that ?  "Thousands of times..", indeed...    Rolling Eyes

Those rats are gonna be six foot tall and green

I thought Gordon Brown was coming south again.

I'm joking of course as he hasn't done a tap even though he is sill receiving wages.

I think you forgot one factor, Bee. They're cannibal rats. They eat each other. More likely, when they find the ship, they will find one huge, obese rat left.

Sadly Tess thinks Bee is me Quill, even though are political views are so different.

Hey ho, it brings mild amusement. I guess she never saw the spats bee and I had on ADO mark 2 or speakfree, but we moved past that so now have interesting debates

Meh...weird.  Well, you guys are both intelligent, interesting posters.  That's the only connection I see.  So I guess we'll let Tess outgrow it.
