whilst I cant say that threads of this nature are wrong per se, I DO find them "distasteful" (not that thats any reason to mod them if course).

why...I dunno...perhaps theres an implied element of malice, of delight in someone elses misfortune
maybe theres the thought that whilst the person making the predictions isnt out to "enjoy" being right there is still the sense of satisfaction in being proved right....

To me its just a bit sick
