Both my comments are true... or are they...?

If you don't like this thread about 'Thumping-Chump' then ignore all of the sarcastic banter and continued pungent jabs that the rest of us do ...
IT'S RATHER OBVIOUS WHAT THE THREAD IS ABOUT ...DUHHHH
This statement is just insanity, lamely disguised as a possible attempt at humor; but sorrowfully wrong in all aspects just the same!
Rather ODD, how you'll start your post with a 'not sure', but then you quickly followed that up with a "but there were definitely no Muslims back then!" statement ...Sweet Jesus Tommykins, still proving that lack of reading and just sticking your neck out to get it chopped off!Tommy Monk wrote:Lurker wrote:A nativity scene for Trump supporters, no refugees, no Jews, no Arabs, no Blacks.

Saddam hussein and his baath party were leftie socialists!
And under his rule Iraq was relatively stable, secular and peaceful.

C.) I even gave you a starter point for your illusion about the error in your Muslim mistake and you still couldn't read the post!

Well, FFS ...you couldn't even formulate an adult question to what you've got so F'd up; just C & P and slap it in here --- 'like here it is - ain't that grand?'
Go read something factual and bring in a FACTUAL LINK and we'll talk ...until then your just twirling in the wind of your own making!

hmmmm
well from 4evers c&p
"The origin of the Islam was started in the 622 AD and it was spread to the whole world within a short period of time.
9. Christianity: standing next on our list is the religion called Christianity that was started in the 300 AD before the advent of Islam."
so CLEARLY your first premise is correct, whatever other meaning she intends to implicate to your post
As to the second i'd have to research old sadams politics per se, given that whatever they were he was also a bit of a nasty dictator too.....as for iraq itself under his rule what you say is in most aspects true
FOR THE AREA it WAS "relatively peaceful" certainly fairly secular in as much as he kept most of the religious nonsense out of state affairs, and apart from giving iran a good kicking relatively (again...for the area) stable.....though given subsequent events he himself was non too stable.
though lets be honset Tommy...using nerve agents on a few troublesome tribes men was hardly stable/fair or reasonable .....there are better ways of dealing with fractious neighbours.
but what cannot be denied is that both iraq AND the west would have been far better to have contented itself with busting his nose in Gulf war one and NOT gone back to "finish the job" simply becasue "god" told the nutter bush to do so.

Since it was late in the day over here and I don't get OCD as you do dear Tommykins about much of anything, I went to bed. Now that I'm up {albeit before the butt crack of dawn 5 am I'll work on your convoluted topic};
You stated "that there wasn't any Muslims when Jesus was born" ...and I gave your the proof for which you both couldn't read and really couldn't grasp and now your side-kick has joined your continued ignorance and is pushing it further afield. LMAO
You two are like a comedy team 'Laurel & Hardy'; but I digress!
a.) the naivety scene = the birth of Jesus: doesn't mean that Christianity had been formed - that the baby was even becoming the future son of GOD. Heaven forbid that the poor kid decided to do something else ...like follow his step brothers and work instead of preach - be ridiculed - die such a heinous death.
b.) so your statement had 2 false thoughts: that there were no Muslims and that there were Christians! When both Faiths started in the same region at the same time frame. And neither took hold until AFTER DEATH {AD} not BC = before Christ.
But you and your side kick just continue to FLOP around, it's very entertaining; especially since the crèche and why it was placed onto the Thump-Trump thread was all for VENTING and yet you had to follow the #1 religious bashing member right into a kerfuffle that you are so ill prepared to understand!
And for your 2nd OFF TOPIC issue regarding Saddam Hussein: all you had to do was some simple reading about the man - his son's - his history - how he'd treated his people!
But noooooo, you allow Lord Lock Tight to do your thinking/reading/posting for you and that leaves you all of the latitude to just continue on as you do!
Skating by - posting erroneous filled opinions that you ASSume are facts; and they are not.

There have been Muslim's since the earliest writings and non-written text ...ISLAM is their faith NOT Muslim!
AD = after death BC = before Christ
But just keep typing the same mistake and it's just grows in volumes ...especially when LF jumps on board in an attempt to take your side! Always amusing!

So where do those 'HUMANS' appear in our history books, Tommykins? Do they just suddenly drop into the specific chapters of the BIBLE and until that point in time never exist ??? just float around the world as dust to the wind and when the prophet's decided to put quill to ink then they suddenly became a LIFE FORM?Tommy Monk wrote:

Your problem here is that this statement is based on using the Christian timeline BC/AD and the commonly used Gregorian Calendar.
Things were a lot different back in those times so it's probably pretty much impossible to state with any certainty when Islam came into being or even when Christianity came into being.

I've been very clear in what I have said...
If Jesus was born around 2000 years ago... and islam only started to exist during and after the life of mohammed which was 600 years later... then there would definitely not have been any Muslims around at the time of the birth of Jesus.
It's pretty straight forward...

Just to bring a little objectivity to this discussion:
The Christian Bible had reached more or less its current form by the fourth or fifth century. Muhammad wouldn't be born for several more centuries. Also, the Quran references Christianity, but the Bible doesn't reference Islam, another indicator that Muhammad intended to found a new religion.
A Muslim is simply someone who follows the Islamic faith. "Muslim" doesn't refer to a race or nationality. Therefore, before Islam there could be no Muslims.

Turkic - DNA link, lots of recent written papers regarding this issue!
Pre-DNA testing the only data source we had was from what the 'dirt diggers' were able to uncover ...now there are many ways of proving ones lineage - regional areas of origin etc., etc., etc.It has often been suggested that the Xiongnu, mentioned in Han Dynasty records, were Proto-Turkic speakers. Although little is known for certain about the Xiongnu language(s), it seems likely that at least a considerable part of Xiongnu tribes spoke a Turkic language. However, some scholars see a possible connection with the Iranian-speaking Sakas. Some scholars believe they were probably a confederation of various ethnic and linguistic groups. Genetics research in 2003 on skeletons from 2000 year old Xiongnu necropolis in Mongolia found some individuals with DNA sequences also present in some modern-day Turks, suggesting that a Turkish component had emerged in the Xiongnu tribe at the end of the Xiongnu period.
In 2009, archaeologists found Turkic balbals which are 2000 year old.
According to another archeological and genetic study in 2010, the DNA found in three skeletons in 2000-year-old elite Xiongnu cemetery in Northeast Asia belonged to C3, D4 and R1a. The evidence of paternal R1a supports the Kurgan hypothesis for the Indo-European expansion from the Volga steppe region. As the R1a was found in Xiongnu people and the present-day people of Central Asia Analysis of skeletal remains from sites attributed to the Xiongnu provides an identification of dolichocephalic Mongoloid, ethnically distinct from neighboring populations in present-day Mongolia.
Xiongnu writing, older than Turkic, is agreed to have the earliest known Turkic alphabet, the Orkhon script. This has been argued recently using the only extant possibly Xiongu writings, the rock art of the Yinshan and Helan Mountains. It dates from the 9th millennium BCE to the 19th century, and consists mainly of engraved signs (petroglyphs) and few painted images. Excavations done during 1924–1925 in Noin-Ula kurgans located in the Selenga River in the northern Mongolian hills north of Ulan Bator produced objects with over 20 carved characters, which were either identical or very similar to the runic letters of the Turkic Orkhon script discovered in the Orkhon Valley.

Which confirms what I said...

Anyone who repeatedly claims intelligence of genius levels -the top 1% of humanity, yet still dismisses countless experts, university Professors and scientific journals to dismiss climate change as hogwash deserves every bit of piss taken from him.On this matter, he comes across as a dolt not Einstein the 2nd.nicko wrote:Handy, why do you keep taking the piss out of tommy, surely his opinions are as valid as yours, And he rarely retaliates with insults such as you and others do !

Hand shandy... what is wrong with you...!?
There are posters on here who have blown their own trumpets, on numerous occasions, about all manner of things... and you say nothing about it...
Take Quill for example... repeatedly telling everyone how he's a top lawyer who has been involved in many high level/profile court battles, telling us all how he's a top university lecturer, telling us about the book he wrote, and about the castle he owns in Scotland etc...
We have veya repeatedly telling us how he's involved in some high level computer programming malarkey that only the best and the brightest of the highest level of top experts can even dream of doing...
Then there's Ziz who, in his short time on this forum, has repeatedly said how he was some sort of big cheese in the govt a few years ago...
Ben tells us he's a journalist...
Elmer tells us that his engineering/management and hunting skills are up there with the best...
And then there's moley (who I very much like and respect, and this is not a criticism in any way), who has told us a great number of interesting things about his achievements and involvement in many high level/profile areas...
There are many more examples I could add here...
Hand shandy says nothing about any of this...
But I mention ONCE that I scored highly on an iq test... and hand shandy doesn't stop banging on about it...
Why...?

As far as the castle goes, it's more mine than yours, right? It's owned by a family trust, and I have served that trust in several capacities.
Tommy, you're jealous. I would have thought you were more secure than that. Having two doctorates and teaching in universities is not that unusual in my world. Call it continuing professional education.
I have told you my background only to qualify my opinions and experience in debating certain points. It's done to provide a basis, not to impress you. Obviously, I'm only going to go so far; I'm not going to arm the identity thieves with more details so they can get into my bank account. So I don't give names and addresses. I'm just dedicated to the idea of backing up what I say.
Anyway, I don't ask you to be impressed. I'm just providing the substantiation for my posts. You don't like it because (1) it makes me the winner, or (2) you haven't been in my league, and it makes you jealous. You tell me...why is it so important for you to tear someone else down, rather than build yourself (or your arguments) up?

Turkic - DNA link, lots of recent written papers regarding this issue!Pre-DNA testing the only data source we had was from what the 'dirt diggers' were able to uncover ...now there are many ways of proving ones lineage - regional areas of origin etc., etc., etc.It has often been suggested that the Xiongnu, mentioned in Han Dynasty records, were Proto-Turkic speakers.

To be fair, no one has said the people that would become Muslim didn't exist. Of course they did- Turkic, Arab etc all existed. But they weren't Muslim. Same as all the peoples inhabiting Europe pre-300-900AD were not Christian.

Muslims existed long - LONG before there were even attributed with the written word Muslim ...they existed long - long before the thought of baby Jesus and the onset of early Christianity.
You took a sarcastic jab at 'Cheeto-Jesus' and his anti-every human being that isn't WHITE LIKE HIM and tried to make a asinine remark that just wasn't TRUE.

I'm not jealous at all... I was just making a point to hand shandy that he should stop being a twat about something I mentioned once about myself, when he never says anything about anybody else's claims.

Christianity emerged in the 1st century AD. Islam arrived in the region that comprises present day Turkey, in the 7th century.

Thanks to a somewhat bizarre twist of fate (and the equally bizarre sense of humour of a completely potty friend) I, too, can lay claim to partial ownership of a Scottish castle and estate - and arguably to the title of Laird under ancient Scots law.
Sadly, however, my stakeholding does not allow me to plant trees, build any structure or even commence fracking operations. And, since it extends to, er, one square foot, there is even insufficient space to exercise any droit de seigneur which might be attached to the title.
