Le Pen wants to end free schooling for illegal immigrant kids

French far-right leader Marine Le Pen has called for an end to free education for the children of illegal immigrants.

The National Front leader and 2017 presidential candidate said they should be refused places in public schools as part of tough proposals to restrict state services.

"I've got nothing against foreigners but I say to them: if you come to our country, don't expect that you will be taken care of and that your children will be educated for free," she told a meeting in Paris.

"That's finished now, it's the end of playtime."

what she SHOULD be saying is that you will NOT in any form educate your kids in ANYTHING BUT the state schools

I.E we are going to ban "faith schools"

(of ALL types)

Besides which...

If they are ILLEGAL immigrants it is highly unlikely their kids will be in the school system ANYWAY, since by definiton they are illegal and therefore likely to stay "under the radar" entirely

Russia has awful levels of wealth inequality that makes any western European nation seem a utopia. They treat their Muslim regions like colonial territories. They have extremely homophobic laws which are getting worse. Watch a Russian champions league clash and notice the racism that also plagues Russian society. Then there is the imperialist annexation of Crimea.

No one with sense pretends Europe (including the UK) or the US is heading in a great direction right now. But imagination a Russia hegemony would be better is just absurd.
