Who Uses Apple Products?
22nd January 2014
And i'm talking about computers, not the ipod or iPhone. The Mac or MacBook Pro? Tell us what you think.
What do you use it for - work or pleasure?

Surely someone must have one.
Particularly interested in the mini mac - with an SSD - I want to know about performance.

To my knowledge I have never used anything made by Apple - including iPod or iPhone.

Re: Who Uses Apple Products?
Back in my earlier days working for newspapers (and a magazine) I used Apple desktops, but it was so long ago that you can't even compare them to now.
I wouldn't get a Macbook, though. You can get a good laptop for so much less that you can actually repair yourself, that has a replaceable battery, etc.
If you're just looking for lightness and portability, there are so many options out there. If you want the "security through obscurity" Apple offers you could go with Ubuntu or another flavor of Linux. And if you're just determined you want to run an OS named after a fearsome kitty-cat, there are a number of hackintosh-compatible laptops out there: http://www.macbreaker.com/2013/04/preview-new-hackintosh-laptops-of-2013.html

Re: Who Uses Apple Products?
I use an iPhone, iPod Touch and an iPad but that's my limit. They're very expensive and my laptops tend to only last 2 to 3 years.....apparently you shouldn't use them on your lap??? "Lap"top???? Is it me?

I would prefer to use a sledgehammer on any Windows guided PC...
Especially one where it's owner has left 'IE' on there as their 'default' browser ! ::dedhrs::
I guess a sledge hammer is like one button I don't understand why you find it so hard to use 2

Macs are only good if you're into graphic design or photography and shit like that.
It's just overpriced hipster shit other than that.
