Black police officer shoots black man who was brandishing a gun sparks large black lives matter disorder where another black man is shot by a black man

At a news conference on Wednesday, Kerr Putney, chief of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, said officers had found the gun that the police said Mr. Scott had brandished before an officer, who is also black, fatally shot him and were examining police video of the encounter that unfolded as Mr. Scott stepped out of a car.

Family members of Mr. Scott have said that he was unarmed and was holding only a book. Chief Putney said Wednesday morning, “We did not find a book.”

A second night of protests set off by the police killing of a black man spiraled into chaos and violence after nightfall here Wednesday when a demonstration was interrupted by gunfire that gravely wounded a man in the crowd. Law enforcement authorities fired tear gas in a desperate bid to restore order.

The city said on its Twitter account that the unidentified man was on life support after what officials said was a “civilian on civilian” confrontation. The authorities provided no further details.

Charlotte officials had said earlier that the man had been killed in the unrest. The Police Department reported that four officers had injuries that were not life-threatening.

It would only be hypocritical and/or ironic if a) BLM was an anti-white movement, which it is not -- it's about police reform and unconcerned with the skin color of a cop who shoots a black person -- and b) if every black person in America thought exactly the same thing and shared a hive mind.

Keith L Scott is allegedly the name of man shot by police in op story by the black police officer.

Here is a police murder that the blue wall of silence could not lie about.  On so many different occasions they have tried to peddle the argument: what your eyes clearly saw, they didn't see!  But this one they didn't even try.  

Michael Slager has been indicted by a state grand jury and a Federal grand jury.  He faces life imprisonment or minimum 30-years.  Of course...he is going to plead not guilty.  What else can he do, if he wants a trial?  He can't say guilty, your honor...but I want a trial.  The judge would say, what for?

With such clear and convincing evidence as an actual (literally) movie, he's got no choice but to attack the video clip.  It's his only chance.

Look, lots of cons did the crime...in the beginning they all say the evidence was tricked up in some fashion.  What else can they do?  Every con ever arrested says he's not guilty.  If they were speaking the truth there would be nothing but empty prison cells.

I seem to recall the KKK were exclusive to the USA. I can't seem to recall either that any black person was lynched here. Our police officers don't go around shooting anyone willy nilly as they do in the US.

Are you still talking about different people here? This thread isn't about the chap who was shot in Tulsa, and Horatio wasn't talking about him. You're defending rioting against innocent people, so you have no call to be calling anyone names.

You also appear to have a strange idea of what "white" is when it comes to racial issues.

The guy in this case had suffered a traumatic brain injury in a car crash, his wife videoed some of what occurred although you don't see much of what happened or the shooting.

It does make me wonder why the police won't release the dash cam or body cam footage though.
