defence minister Veya - he's make mincemeat of 'em
foreign affairs Ben - he has a way with words when dealing with people
home secretary Syl - she keeps her head
social affairs Eddie - we'd have a permanent party
health minister 4Ever - she knows her stuff and what it's all like.

I'm feeling a bit better, actually. I still think you guys pulled maybe the most epic Barney Fife move in world history, though.

Re: wolfie set me thinking....elect your NF political party
OK, in U.S. terms I think we're talking:
* Vice President (Veya, Biden reminds me of him for some reason)
* Treasury Secretary (LF, you seem to manage money well)
* Secretary of Defense (Didge, the most tenacious member we have)
* Secretary of State (Eddie, chief diplomat)
* Attorney General (Irn, good at interpreting and applying the rules)
* Secretary of Health and Human Services (Sassy, for her compassion)
* Surgeon General (Stardesk, because nothing in biology makes sense except in the context of evolution)

Re: wolfie set me thinking....elect your NF political party
But Quill would be good as AG as well! Shee-it ...
Re: wolfie set me thinking....elect your NF political party
I think my list is the same as sassy but swapping me for Ben in social affairs (he needs to help heal the world) and I'd take the job as Deputy (with Les as my secretary meaning he ran stuff and I just showed up and socialised a lot and made friends with our political peers)

I was flummoxed as well ...
Deputy Prime Minister - Cass & Eilzel = because a well rounded education is extremely important
Chancellor - Ben & Quill = equal balance of intelligence and rational thought process
Defense Minister - WYWolfie & Irn = shared position for balance of power
Foreign Affairs - Fuzzy & Veya = again, proper balance for opposing POV
Home Secretary - Stormee & Nicko = no better ole warriors to keep our borders safe
Social Affairs - Sassy & Syl = they'd make a great team and represent properly
Health Minister - Eddie & LF = one to promote eating healthy & one to promote abundance and eating MEAT LOL

To which, I would add :
minister for Scotland Irn Bru
minister for trade, industrial relations Handy Andy
minister for science, education Fuzzy Zack
minister for technology & innovation stardesk
Ambassador to Thailand Eilzel
High Commissioner to Sydney veya (OK, I make one exception here -- veya's local knowledge could be invaluable to a Victor-led UK gov't..)
Ambassador to Iceland Tommy
Ambassador to USA Stormee
Asst. Minister for the Falklands Horatio
ALSO, if Quill was seen as a likely Attorney General, then he should probably be granted British citizenship, as well ?
In which case, I could nominate myself for multiple portfolios of Primary Production, Resources, the Environment and Climate Change..
And Ben for communications, media, transport;
And 4ever for any remaining odds and sods (e.g. social welfare and aged services, immigration, animal welfare..).

Actually, I already have right of citizenship by being within 2-degrees of consanguinity of my grandfather, a Scottish citizen. I just have to sign the papers.
But...is Scotland going to stick around?

AND AS PART of the new Victor/Ragamuffin 'austerity measures', one of their first actions will be to move the British Embassy out of Washington -- and into a back corner in Ben's garage...

Re: wolfie set me thinking....elect your NF political party
Well wolf at least with yours I don't need to relocate
Deputy PM or Foreign Affairs will do though lol
Not sure for me, but off the cuff:
PM: Ben- does a good job running things, very progressive and fair minded.
Deputy PM: Veya- great ideas but sometimes a little hot headed, needed in govt but not at the top ;-)
Home Secretary: Sassy or Victor- in terms of domestic politics both tend toward socialism. But keep them away from foreign affairs lol
Foreign Secretary: Cass- perfect mediator, not going to go in all guns blazing but not going to stand by while people die.
Defence Minister: Quill- feel he could be level headed here.
Education: Eddie- would bring a no nonsense progressive agenda and make sure kids are good people, just keep out the conspiracies and astrology
Health Secretary: Irn Bru- another socialist mind who would make sure health remains in ownership of the people and run for the people.
Social Affairs: didge- because fuck religion and on other issues he is pro-equality
Oh and me. I'd be King, obviously, the democracy would just be pretece
