Good afternoon Ben.
I watch American football when I can because it's a great game. And at risk if being lynched for sacrilege,I prefer it to rugby.
Regarding the video,I had to watch it twice until I saw where that guy came from....Excellent play.

Sneeky play. But it depends upon a clumsy defensive unit. He would have been crushed in the NFL (or some guys would be out of a job).

But, but -- check out the angle from behind the defense again; I honestly can't make him out!
* Edit -- OK, I could see him when I was actually looking for him. But you know the defenders are trying to keep an eye on everything at once; easy to miss.

I could see it. In fact, if you know formations...he sticks out like a sore thumb. You'll say: What's that guy doing in the backfield, right next to the QB under center? Really, he's drawing attention--suspicion--to himself by crouching down like that.
That's why I say the pros would suss that out in an instant. They follow assignments and read offenses. Everybody has a responsibility and a man. As I say, the guy responsible for him would have seen that...or he doesn't belong in the pros...he doesn't have a job for long. Lol
Incidentally, the linebacker, #52, was onto him from the snap. Take a look. He was looking right at him, pre-snap, wondering WTF is this clown doing? The left guard crowded #52 out, and that's why the play worked. But he was made by the inside linebacker.
