Overrated singers and bands

First topic message reminder :
Who do you consider to be really overrated?
Mine has to be Oasis - loved their first single "Some might say" but always found their music too predictable and Liam Gallagher's voice really grates on my nerves!
Noel, the real talent, has a better voice IMO
Also never understood the fascination with U2 (can't stand Bono) or the Manic Street Preachers.
Who do you consider to be really overrated?

My personal choices:
Celion Dion - NO NO NO NO NO NO
Kanye - BARF
Justin Bieber - My ears bleed.....a lot
Stupid ass novelty songs - The Macarena, anything by the Cheeky girls, Barbie Girl - I feel intensely ill (although the ketchup song had a very good beat) etc...
Katy Perry - I don't know why
Meghan Trainor - she gets on my very last nerve
Shakira - screech much?
Lionel Ritchie - but if ive had a few I will dance - dammit
Most of Disco, Rap, all of house, Eurovision thrash metal, Enya and similar, and cheesy pop and country AND western.

That stuff like Three times a lady, Easy, and Hello does my head in. I did like Dancing on the ceiling though.
On the X Factor if they have a Motown night, someone always picks Lionel Richie.

Yes that's one song though, I'm not keen either.
His album songs are normally better (find that with most artists actually)

I agree 100% about Boney M....could never stand them and when I occasionally find myself singing along to one of their songs I want to slap myself.

The Proclaimers are just a couple of Hibs supporting numpties but I did like Sunshine on Leith.

There is something really irritating about an over egged Scottish accent. Lulu lapses into it every now and again....odd saying she left there about 60 years ago.
