UMMM, Well...
Just a few of the hundreds, that come immediately to mind, could include :
* anti Viral medications
* Flu vaccines
* Cochlear ear implants
* new improved fuel injection systems
* "clean coal" technologies
* snake and spider anti-venoms
* improvements to Solar Power systems
* "Over the Horizon" radar systems
* "Red Eye" missile and RPG aiming/guidance systems
* a more economical system of artificial cornea transplants, meaning more poor people in Africa and India can be treated
* Mine safety and rescue technologies
* Robotic sheep shearing
* Chemical sheep shearing
* plant cloning technologies
* new keel systems for yachts
* horizontal axis honey extraction equipment
* new improved hydraulic transfer cases used in trucks and military vehicles
* new cutting edge pain relief research for cancer sufferers
* developments in Artificial Insemination and fertility technologies
* Tim Tam, Iced Vo-Vo, and Sao biscuits
Oh, and there have been contributions from Aussie scientists and engineers in fields such as antibiotics, computers, space research, oceanography, environmetal science, stem cell technology -- that might be overlooked because they were working in British or American universities at the time...
And don't let's forget the bush hat with flying insect repelling dangling corks. Fucking genius!

Re: Racism in Australia
THERE'S also a lot of things from the second half of the 19th century, and early 20th century :
Farrar and his rust-resistant wheat strains
Droughtmaster cattle
The 'Stump Jump' plough
Rotary clothesline
Victa lawnmower
Mechanised hand shearing for sheep and goats
ANOTHER Aussie development sold on to the rest of the world was the Polymer (plastic) bank notes..
AND the security systems that go with them.
AND the first 'utility' style car (a light pick up truck, with a car body grafted to the front for more comfort..), was developed by an Aussie engineer at their Melbourne (Broadmeadows) factory in the 1920s, and the idea was then taken back to the USA; eventually leading on to the F Series pickups, as well as todays light "pick up truck" style utes that all major auto manufacturers have..
