Cute...but in my area it would mean that your neighborhood was full of illegals.
That's the going trend for the method of sharing the illegal way;
'You Have Too Much So I Helped Myself To What I Needed'
But on the up tick about the article {or just all of the comments that followed the image} there's a whole lot to be said about the big difference between socialism and social democracy and how so many Americans just DON'T GET IT.
But as with so much of our social media places; they'll like/agree/share an image with very little understanding about what the IMAGE means!
Reading through some of those comments --- WHEW, it's unfortunate that a litmus test isn't given prior to allowing them into the voting booth!

Awww, TommyMonk; I doubt that you'd have to look long &/or hard to find this {let your fingers do the walking} but since I've got it flagged & tagged for reference >>>Tommy Monk wrote:"...there's a whole lot to be said about the big difference between socialism and social democracy..."
Care to tell us then...!?
Socialism vs Social Democracy — What’s The Difference?
- One is about collective ownership of the means of production;
- the other about organic social solidarity with private ownership of production.
- One is restrictive;
- the other libertarian.
- One is metaphysical (excessively abstract reasoning);
- the other empirical (demonstrable, verifiable reasoning).
- One is dogmatic;
- the other scientific.
- One is emotional;
- the other reflective.
- One is destructive;
- the other constructive.
- Both are in pursuit of the greatest possible welfare for all.
– One aims to establish happiness for all;
– the other to enable each to be happy in one’s own way.
- The first regards the State as a society “sui generis,” of a unique essence, the product of a right outside of and above all society, with special rights and able to exact special obediences;
- the second considers the State as an association like any other, generally managed no better and no more efficient than others.
- The first proclaims the sovereignty of the State;
- the second recognizes no sort of sovereign.
- One wishes all monopolies to be held by the State;
- the other wishes the abolition of all monopolies.
- One wishes the governed class to become the governing class;
- the other wishes the disappearance of classes.
- Both declare that the existing state of things cannot last.
– The first considers revolutions as the indispensable agent of evolutions;
– the second teaches that repression alone turns political evolutions into revolution.
- The first has faith in a cataclysm;
- the second knows that social progress will result from the free play of individual efforts.
- One wishes that there should be none but proletariats;
- the other wishes that there should be no more proletariats.
- The first wishes to take everything away from everybody;
- the second wishes to leave each in possession of its own.
- The one wishes to expropriate everybody;
- the other wishes everybody to be a proprietor.
- The first says: Do as the government wishes;
- the second says: Do as you wish yourself.
- The former threatens with despotism;
- the latter promises liberty.
- The former makes the citizen the subject of the State;
- the latter makes the State the employee of the citizen.
- One proclaims that labor pains will be necessary to the birth of a new world;
- the other declares that real progress will not cause suffering to any one.
- The first has confidence in social war;
- the other believes only in works of peace.
- One aspires to command, to regulate, to legislate;
- the other wishes to attain the minimum of command, of regulation, of legislation.
- One would be followed by the most atrocious of reactions;
- the other opens unlimited horizons to progress.
- The first will fail;
- the other will succeed.
- One desires equality; the other seeks equity.
– The first by lowering heads that are too high;
– the other by raising heads that are too low.
- One sees equality under a common yoke;
- the other will secure equity in complete liberty.
- One is intolerant;
- the other tolerant.
- One frightens;
- the other reassures.
- The first wishes to instruct everybody;
- the second wishes to enable everybody to instruct one’s self.
- The first wishes to support everybody;
- the second wishes to enable everybody to support one’s self.
- One says:
– The land to the State
– The mine to the State
– The tool to the State
– The product to the State
- The other says:
– The land to the cultivator.
– The mine to the miner.
– The tool to the laborer.
– The product to the producer.
- One is the infancy of Socialism;
- the other is its manhood.
- One is already the past;
- the other is the future.
- One will give way to the other…

https://spfaust.wordpress.com/2011/06/12/socialism-vs-social-democracy-whats-the-difference/
And should you not follow up and look at the entire decent article; this clipped section seems to add some clarity to the way that many Americans feel but we are limited to our voting options are down to the wire and we have only 2 Democratic vs Republican to chose from --- very few of us are still the hard wired DNC vs GOP candidates there are many of us Independents and that group is growing.
But here's what Coronare Modestus Faust had to say about this Socialism vs Social Democracy >>>
I am almost constantly defending myself against the accusation of being a “Socialist” — an insult in America — when what I am is far from it. But even so, what is wrong with one supporting a socialist perspective? Or a Libertarian perspective? Nothing. Neither is a perspective that I maintain, but they’re certainly valid for anyone else if this is indeed a free society of democratic values and expression.
And, if that is true, why are these other perspectives not proportionally represented in the United States government through our elected branches? And, now we’re back to where we started and where our political expression is truncated.
So here in America when someone says; 'well that's just a Lefty for you' or 'that's just a republican conservative for you' --- there's so many hot button issues that have so many of us deciding on our finite own moral compass and value system that there are fewer & fewer solidity standing fore square on one side or the other.
At least IMHO

Socialism is what every nation with free citizens has.
Only masters and the wage slaves too uneducated to realise they desperation fo their plight exist in Capitalist society.

that post is Bullshit as expressed by an American that doesn't have any actual concept of socialism.
Socialism is not communism
Socialism is what is in the UK France and Australia where the government OWNS hospitals schools and most institution that provide public services.
That is what Socialism is Pure Economic theorem about the ownership of Public services

TOO TRUE, veya' !!!
Like many of her compatriots. aspca really has NO idea of what "socialism" actually is..
That bullshit article that aspca offered describes a totalitarian communist/Stalinist situation - not a genuine socialist country (e.g. Australia, NZ, France, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Canada to a lesser degree - all of whom have more freedom and democracy than the US has currently..).
EVEN in the USA they still have a limited range of Socialism == just consider national parks, conservation areas, public hospitals, public education, police forces and the military..
And then there's those 'corporate socialist' attitudes towards Big Business (only need to look at those corporate bailouts after the GFC, and how none of those bankers have yet seen jail..).

And if from your 'knee-jerk' reaction about that post {that in no way verified} nor did I state = this is exactly what 'I' think and feel...
That was no more then a grammar school presentation for TommyMonk...since he either can't function with his own methods of STFW or has always relied upon being spoon fed his ideology!
If for some reason 'YOU' think that every society known to mankind is functioning according to the finite {down to the punctuations} given in our dictionaries for: communism/socialism/fascism/capitalism/totalitarianism...none of those "ISM's" are representative of what the originators thought or even planned --- that would be as absurd as saying the 'MONARCHY' is just as it was 800 years ago and never evolved.
If you care to ask me a direct question instead of 'ASSUMING' you know the way I think and feel about any given topic --- then that indeed would be a beginning.
Not having had a political ideology discussion with 'YOU-Veya'...it would be utterly ignorant and highly insulting to ASSume that I knew what & how you thought about any given topic --- Right
But if you care and would like to know: my very own young 200+ years of "democracy" isn't anything close to what the founder fathers originally planned --- that is my opinion! Along with some hefty knowledge about the numerous amendments that have been voted into making my government one huge pyramid structured method of maintain the wealth of the upper echelon from the sweat equity of the worker 'B' humans that sustain it.
Hence my feelings about the every encroaching way that the middle class in America has been steadily and most assuredly disappearing and now the gap between wealth & poverty is such a sharp divided ratio. This has happened just in my life time - 62 years and other than the people that think like Rand Paul...we've got a snow balls chance in hell of circumventing this erosion or stopping it!
Here's an example of a fellow I've been reading for several years and he states my POV for more eloquently then I do:
The best form of government is the Republican form that our founding fathers gave us, yet is proved to not be perfect as it has already been hijacked to cater to the statist left and right. We are now referred to as a democracy which is far from what the founders had in mind, as a matter of fact they said democracy is one of the most dangerous forms of government, where the majority rules with no regard for individual or minority rights. Therefore, 51% will always take away the rights of 49%, which results in a loss of liberty for all. This is no different than mobocracy where the only dissenting vote is the person at the end of the rope.
Our country was meant to be a representative Republic with our constitution installed as a safeguard for our rights. Well, in my opinion one major flaw with our constitution is the fact that it can be amended. However, if it could not be amended then that would be saying it was perfect, which is absurd. I believe it does not really matter what type of government a country has because it will eventually become a dictatorial style of government over time. The only feasible means of preserving our liberty is to vote for candidates who favor smaller government and hope they follow through. This will prolong the end of our freedom by several decades if done on a consistent basis, however eventually the small government leader will be replaced by a large government leader such as we have now. If the large government leader does more damage than the small government leader did good, then we have a problem, and that is what has happened over the last couple centuries. History has shown that governments typically last about 200 years, thus our government is approaching its end.
I don't really see any way to stop the big machine from growing, but only to slow it down. Personally, the only person I think could buy us some more time is Ron Paul. He advocates smaller government more than any other politician I know of. However, I doubt he will have the chance to be elected since he is unpopular with the Republican party, and I would argue it is because he supports limited government. http://www.slayerment.com/blog/communism-vs-socialism-vs-fascism-vs-capitalism
If in that link {for those that give a shit} the first article has a well proposed chart that is just to large to cut & paste for this sight...but it's an interesting perspective for anyone that thinks 'my government is such-&-such' when we have zero dictionary defined forms of government any where in the world today---
They all have variations that make them 'an almost' but not quite example of what we've been told they are!!!
And that dear Veya is exactly what I THINK

As some of you pointed out, there were quite a few comments made in that linked news article.
One person made a partisan post that I felt could be equally applied to both parties (not just the Democrats, as the original author suggested):
Sorry to the Republicans and Democrats on this site but, if you voluntarily admit that you're either, the above quote describes your party and what you've signed up to tolerate (if not defend, in the case of some of you zealous followers).

Socialism is a failed concept and never works in principle
It always takes away from people drive and ambition.
Thus incentive is taken away from people and they will become less productive.
This will also have an alternate effect on technological advancement, as people are then less driven by such industries to even bother to enter them as again there is little incentive other than the individual having such a love and passion for the relative field.

I think KD, those two photos exhibit all that is wrong with the world. Capitalist fat cats indulging their every want at the expense of the rest.
I think what brought it home the most to me was years ago, when Tiny Rowlands was making a fortune in Africa, his company practices resulting in African children playing is piles of white asbestos, propably the most dangerous substance in the world bar radioactive substances. One tiny hair from it is guaranteed to cause lung cancer.

So let me get this straight
A child overweight and may have a condition connected to obesity is now because of capitalist fat cats?
Then even worse nobody lays rightly the finer to point on how countries in Africa are failing their people because of the reality they are led by corrupt individuals in many cases
How any of that has anything to do with socialism or the fact millions have died under enforced socialist societies shows how little people understand about history

SUMMARY: Science shows that genetics plays a role in obesity.Genes can directly cause obesity in disorders such as Bardet-Biedl syndrome and Prader-Willi syndrome. However genes do not always predict future health. Genes and behavior may both be needed for a person to be overweight.

To be fair though, the picture does show the chap stuffing his face with some fast food of some kind, so I don't think that particular argument is valid here.

Metaphor
Metaphor is a figure of speech which makes an implicit, implied or hidden comparison between two things that are unrelated but share some common characteristics. In other words, a resemblance of two contradictory or different objects is made based on a single or some common characteristics.

Still appalling to associate
The fact you fail and then are basically associating greed through food onto obese people failing in itself where the problem is with children starving. In the hands of corrupt governments, in fact you are getting them off the hook for allowing children to starve which to me is the real crime. Never equate two different problems and then associate them through greed wrongly and completely ignoring the root cause of the issue.
A picture of a starving child next to a corrupt leader living in luxury who has allowed this child to suffer, would be far more appropriate

really is that all you took from it raggs ?
Wasting Disease/AIDS/Osteoarthritis/Guillain-Barre Syndrome/Polymyositis and other infectious diseases that are picked up from putrid drinking water and other parasites!!! But yet again --- those medical issues are NOT PART OF THIS TOPIC.
Good Grief...
Tragic --- and rather sad
Again a failure to understand that obese children are often bullied through the view they are greedy
How on earth does the above photo help such a situation with such a disgusting metaphor, when the wrong is caused by corrupt governments or officials?
The metaphor is actually creating a second problem, providing bullies with a means to then bully obese children.
Are you not able to understand this.
Also please explain why and how those with true greed, those in power allowing them to starve are not show as the true nature of that greed?
So there is no evidence to any of your claims above other than more proof of your inability to move on.
So in your own time answer my points
Good luck

Large Person, metaphor for:
fat cat
noun
informalderogatory
noun: fat cat; plural noun: fat cats; noun: fatcat; plural noun: fatcats; modifier noun: fat-cat
Small, dark, thin child
Metaphor for:
Those living at a subsistance level because of the wealth that has been taken by said 'fat cats'.
Honestly, some people like to parade their ignorance as if it is a flag they are proud to stand under.

Which proves my point you are associating obesity in children to rich people who are greedy
That is disgusting on every level
The left, champions of social injustices create a reason to back bullying of obese children
Go figure

You just have no comprehension of children starving and also fail to see how the above is used to bully obese children
