Do you eat any meat? eddie
No storm. I eat fish but that's started to taste a bit 'strong' for me lately?
I don't miss it at all. I've never really loved it.
I cook it for all my family though. And they also eat my quorn stuff.

Magic Custard Cake
Oh, yum !!!
LOTS of fats and sugars and white flour too, I notice..
A BIT too much for me, I'm afraid.
One piece should be enough..

Re: My Latest Recipe
Been reading the recipes HT for the different variations, like the sound of the coconut one. Been making Magic Lemon Pudding since my kids were tiny, same kind of thing, comes out with pudding on top, lemon custard underneath. Gonna try those though.

I've made this a few times. It really is very good.

Re: My Latest Recipe
Just made Sticky Chocolate Yoghurt Cake, dead easy to make and the best chocolate cake ever.
In a bowl put 5 fl ox veg oil
5 fl ox natural yoghurt
4 level tablespoons black treacle
4 oz golden caster sugar
3 eggs
8 oz sr flour
3 rounded tablespoons cocoa
1/2 level tsp bicarb
1/2 level tsp salt
beat with a balloon whisk until smooth, pour into a lined 8 1/2 - 9 inch shallow cake tin.
Bake gas 150 for 1 - 1 1/4 hrs
The tricky bit is NOT to overcook it, bit like brownies, better slightly undercooked.
Now the twist.
Take out of oven, leave to get nearly cool. While still slightly warm and still with lining paper round it, wrap in foil and leave for 2 - 3 days.
I serve it with salted caramel sauce and ice cream.
