lol so nothing to do with UKIP but the EDL

What a load of bullshit

The EDL is listed as a far right extremist organisation

Mr Taylor said his son had accessed a video clip from the BBC before Christmas which showed a March in Luton involving the English Defence League

English Defence League And British National Party Are As Dangerous As Islamic State, Derbyshire Police Claim

The English Defence league and the British National Party have been compared to the Islamic State by Derbyshire police who say they are "just as much of a real threat".

Speaking to Peak FM Sergeant John Booker said police treat far-right groups the same way they would IS, as they have just as much potential to lead people towards committing terrorist acts.

Booker said: “The biggest threat is very much centred on Syrian and Iraq based groups such as Islamic State however we certainly can’t ignore the right wing issues and the far right issues that do exist in our communities and are just as much of a real threat in terms of community division, hatred and deplorable acts as anything else.”

"We certainly can't ignore the right wing issues and the far right issues"

Sounds like you MUST ignore them, by law, or get hassled by the police for trying to learn. Do they visit people for reading articles about ISIS?

Seems to me that Europe got it totally wrong when it came to fighting the rise of racist-motivated fascism. Leaders just tried to screw a lid on it really tight and now look what's happening -- look how people talk on this very forum.

That is if of course we believe the hearsay on UKIP and the Police would not come in because of UKIP. So that no doubt is bullshit

Its more like he was looking up the EDL and damn right he got pulled up over it

Extremism covers all extremism, not just Islam

So what if he looked at one EDL March?

An interest in politics is a good thing... and it is no surprise for someone to want to see for themselves what all the fuss is about after constantly hearing condemnation against groups who aren't actually doing any thing wrong!

The EDL are able official protest group against the Islamisation of the UK after huge levels of Muslim immigration and divisions in the country, and who voiced the reality of the Pakistani Muslim rape gangs when it was being actively denied and covered up by the establishment... no bad thing on its own... and it is a fact that they plan to carry out peaceful marches but the authorities allow violent uaf thugs to attend in close proximity and ignore is them who start kicking off and causing any trouble that occurs!

And Ukip are a totally legitimate political party pushing for the UK to leave the eu federal dictatorship and to regaining our control over our country and democracy and our laws and borders... again, nothing wrong with any of that!!!

The Police are doing there job

It could be all innocent, but we have extremism in many forms in this country

Would you rather such things are not investigated if someone is being indoctrinated with hate?

You're right, it is better to err on the side of caution but he wasn't caught trying to make a bomb or caught posting on Facebook "Let's March and kick their heads in!"

It's an overreaction to be fair.

Basically we are starting to get to a state where you must believe the 'official' propaganda on everything and if you dare to try to see for yourself what the truth really is then you will be vilified and arrested and persecuted by the authorities!

All you have is waffle Dodge!!!

lol!

The EDL may have some unpleasant members among their numbers, but are a peaceful and law abiding and totally legal protest group against Islamic extremism and the Islamisation of this country through continued mass importation of Muslims!

It is the authorities who allow the violent uaf thugs to attend and start trouble as they want to then be able to try to demonise the EDL with media reports of 'violent edl protests' etc...

It is not a crime to look at a video of one of their marches!!!

But in the op, it was also the viewing of a Ukip website site that triggered hostile police response!

UKIP is a perfectly legitimate political party, and the EDL is not a banned organisation. The police have no right to question why people are looking at their websites.

They do not have to be banned to be a concern over their extremist views

That is all that matters and it is the same for any looking at such extremist material

There is no harm to have Police question this in case there is a real issue

Not a proscribed organisation... perfectly legal and law abiding!

What Derbyshire police can 'claim' whatever they want... but it doesn't make it true!

Maybe they should have spent more of their efforts on dealing with the Pakistani Muslim child rape gangs in their area rather than bring part of the denial and cover up team...

Perhaps they should be more concerned about people looking at the Labour party website. Laughing

If not, then you don't have to be over 18 I'd have thought.

actually its nothing of the sort....

what it is , is a chief constable of one force exceeding/reinterpreting his brief and indulging in his own piece of political engineering
he is allowing his own political slant to colour the policy which he follows.

the police are supposed to be politically neutral...without fear or favor...but when the lefty's get a sniff of power you just know what going to happen....

He SHOULD, in an ideal world be hauled up in front of the home office commitee and slapped...hard....

It wont happen of course

This has nothing to do with normal politics, but extreme politics

The EDL politics and where it could lead

The EDL is an extreme organisation and has a history of violent offenders and even would be terrorists

That is not something that should be ignored

Hence Prevent ensures it follows up on such viewings

How is that wrong?

Dodge... the EDL organisation is itself a totally legal and law abiding organisation... some of its members may well be unsavoury... that is a different matter entirely!

The EDL is a protest movement against islamic extremism and against the Islamisation of the UK by the continued allowance of mass immigration of Muslims.

It is not extremist to be against Islamic terrorists and nor is it extremist to be against the islamisation of the uk or by wanting to see an end to mass immigration.

And Ben. .. when will you get it...!?
