An MP who led the revolt against anti-Semitism in Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party has been branded a ‘Jew whore’ who should burn ‘in the ovens’.

Joan Ryan, who quit Labour last month in protest at the party’s ‘culture of anti-Semitism’, called in police after receiving two separate death threats in the wake of her defection.

One was an unstamped handwritten note delivered to Ms Ryan’s Commons office on a week ago on Friday which branded her a ‘****-sucking, Jewish c*** who defected to Israel’ who should be raped and ‘set on fire’.

The other letter, received at the MP’s constituency office in North London on the day before, said: ‘Stop telling lies about Jeremy Corbyn – he is a decent man, you lying Jew whore. You need to be shoved right back in the ovens.’

Ms Ryan has also passed to Scotland Yard the registration number of a black car that was parked near her constituency office with three men inside. She fears they were placing her under surveillance.

Ms Ryan, 63, is not Jewish but has been an outspoken critic of the party’s handling of the anti-Semitism crisis.

The governemnts of Israel certainly have committed wrongs and being critical of this, is very justified. What is not justified is to use this to invoke and make unfounded and super charged lies over Israel itself. To make associations with Aparthied and Nazism. Its simple a view to invoke a view to make hating Jews acceptable. Based off a false premise, based on Israeli policies. I condemn many policies I see as wrong by Israel, but the view to basically ethnically clense the settlements and not instead reason, they should be part of a future palestinian state. Is actually arguing in favour, what Hitler never even achieved. A state that is Judenrein. Jew free. 

20% of Israelis are Arabs, who the overwhelming majority of them, want to remain Israeli. There is no jews allowed to live under the Palestinian authority. Yet nobody on the Far left calls that Apartheid and racist. Having actually a clear correlation to Nazi policies.

Like I say, people show the worst double standards on this and simple deny the two sides to actually resolve this conflict. There's no evidence that these letters were anything to do with the Labour party. Members of the Labour party are trying to do something about the alleged antisemitism within its ranks. Chris Williamson has been suspended for downplaying the issue, and others have left the party. I'm not sure about Corbyn. I wouldn't say he's antisemitic, but he does seem to support others who are.
