If anyone has lost any will to believe it clearly is you Ben, by the above, where only the other day you were claiming to victor to have faith in humanity of which I do. Never seen such poor pessimism in all my life and off where you continue to allow some on the left to continue to abuse daily. If when asked to deal with things in the first place and you handled them with balance, you would not have some of these issues today. The failing and buck stops with yourself how you handle these situations at the end of the day and if you allow, of which you do people to continually get away breaking the rules, then it stands to reason that will continue. Try leading by example, as I have certainly kept to my promise not to abuse, why not others do the same or just stamp down on when people do, but I have to say the above is very petty and very immature to say the very least. I know some are continually trying to goad me to be abusive but to be honest it just gives me further strengh not to be abusive. But get rid of the above as it shows you in the worst possible light.

Well I'm British and a Scot and the only one on here and I have never had my Scottish nationality abused by our friends from any other country.

Sad to say I can't say that about some people from this country who have had no problem doing that at every oportunity.

So I'm considering myself immune from any criticism of our foreign friends and I'll just watch from the sidlelines to see how this all pans out.

I am raised as a Multicultural Australian,
Multiculturalism is basically my 'race' for lack of a better term to define the identifying group.
My group is the one with all the colors, Even with in Sydney I come from the most Multicultural area with the most migrants and refugees.

Basically I am the same as Stormee, defending my 'people' from those that i perceive to slight it.
Just my 'race' includes a much wider variety of genes and geographic decent.

When people say Multiculturalism is a failure or never works they are saying the society I grew up in, i love and that has done nothing but grow and get stronger and richer over the decades is a failure.
Now the mere fact our economic position have reversed in my lifetime suggest that it is NOT a failure at all rather the opposite we are one of the most successful society over the past 3 decades.

when combined with the fact the supposed insurmountable issues are things we dealt with so easily... well it makes me pretty sure the failure is not Multiculturalism but some other aspect of the Implementation in Europe and the UK.

And you need the term, y'all. The English invented a language without a second-person plural expression in the informal dialect. "American" is not a language; "American English" is a dialect of English. "Americans write and speak differently than citizens of England" is just barely true. The differences between the two dialects are limited and superficial. There is no problem of mutual unintelligibility.

I'm reading an excellent biography of Theodore Roosevelt right now. He wrote a lot about correcting the wrongheaded English spellings. The 'h' sound is there because there is a subtle exhale that precedes the consonant sound. The problem is that the English use the aspirated consonant (wha'), closing off the ending (or starting the beginning) of a word by a hiccup in the diaphragm (and who concocted the spelling of 'diaphragm' anyway, FGS).

That is real class and spot on, which shows why the Yanks have no comprehension of what is classy.
