I think you're just boasting Stormee.
Zips on women's jeans and trousers are ridiculously short - in fact, they're hardly worth having on some of them. Mind you, a lot of them are halfway down your arse anyway.

Re: Trousers Zips
Levi's are the best jeans around, no doubt.
Zips are shorter on hipster trousers, if you wear a higher waist band (like on high waisted fitted skirts and jeans) then the Zips are longer.
Mind the little one Storm, you don't want a tiny

I don't like jeans. I used to, but I can't find any good ones these days. I'm probably too mean to pay a lot.

I've noticed that zips are still quite short even on trousers with a higher waist band these days.

Most things are crap quality, especially zips, unless you pay a lot.
I'd rather buy one expensive pair of jeans than four cheap pairs, they just last longer and save you money in the long run.

I gave all my jeans to charity as none of them were very comfortable. I don't plan on replacing them though - they just all seem too stiff.

Re: Trousers Zips
I think it's the lower waistbands -- that makes sense, I've seen the same thing.
Overall quality wise, clothing has gotten really bad. I have some older T-shirts and the fabric is so much thicker than on newer shirts.
Of course, we just accept it because corporations have us over a barrel ...

That's the reason why I like Levi-Strauss clothing. It's all made in North America--primarily in the US, but some in northern Mexico, along the border where they can keep a close eye on the manufacturing process. The rest of this shit is shipped out from Korea, Cambodia, Pakistan, Brazil, in South America, and China, China, China.
Besides cheap labor, there's no quality control in those places. Duh...they are third-world countries, who say, Wah...quality who??? Here, drink some turpentine.

England, Scotland and Italy...maybe France, are known for their garment industries. But they are not the common, everyday clothing.
With Levis, we're talking about down and dirty, usable stuff.

same product quality controlled add 10% to price. (literally out of the box the only difference is the 'brand' decal)
that's the difference between Coles and Kmart here, Kmart doesn't do quality control but have a good returns policy (very easy for store credit) Both are owned by same company, Coles Inc.
So Save 10% by doing quality control yourself.
and a lot of Fabric goods come from Bangladesh

They come from everywhere.
But only those made in America have the quality. Yes, the price is higher, but the quality is so much better. You are wrong to say quality is the same. That's what brought this issue up: How come clothes no longer fit?
Clothes made in America have at least a half-size on those from 3rd-world countries, because the latter try to cheat on materials. Clothes made in America fit the body better, because the 3rd-world countries, again, sacrifice fit in order to use less material. American clothes use superior dyes, buckles, and even things like shoelaces and rivets. Everything is better.
Levi-Strauss, being a San Francisco company, has been my client. I know their operation inside-and-out...where their factories are, what they do, where, and how they assure quality. Levis, I admit, does own other companies, such as Dockers and Denizen, but the Levi brand is strictly American. And Dockers and Denizen ain't bad, neither.

Re: Trousers Zips
clothes don't fit cause they aren't made for American build any more.
You're kidding your self if you think the quality is better for the dollar. NEVER heard anyone say anything good about US clothing. France and Italy yes they are know in the west for good stuff, But out of Asia it is all about how much you pay, cheap or good depends on how much you pay. simple as that. US company are using cheapest material and cheapest labor. And Probably buying the goods and not doing Quality control (which is not included in the cost from China You have to pay extra and US companies Choose not to)
I can Buy an Asian Made pair of jean better than Any Levi for half the price of Levi I can also buy a cheap ass pair of jeans out of Asia for a fifth the price of Levi... This is why Asian Manufacturing is Dominating. No one can compete with the 'range of Quality' they can pump out the cheap but Pay them double and You get Better than the even more expensive western manufactured goods.

Get the kind that snap in the front. Much easier, although in my day I was pretty expert at reaching around with the 'single-hand' unsnap: lay thumb and forefinger on the fabric, and pull together. Zippo!!

With the invention and popularity of fabrics with an inbuilt elastication in them.....who needs zips anymore.

It takes practice. Like getting to Carnegie Hall...practice, practice, practice.
It's all in the touch. Lightly! Just lay your thumb and forefinger along the fabric, and then gently apply the muscles to bring the two together. Don't push. Nothing should be forced. Remember...gently and deftly, and poof! it's undone.

Never had that problem. Women used to rip my clothes off and then their own and jump on me.
All it took were these words delivered with my Scottish accent and it was game on.
