Generally you send them to prison

but shock collars could be quite ingenious way to save money on incarceration costs

simple...take the necessary precautions to be able to safely work with it....

christ I was ticketed to work on 6.6kv power units
I have worked with cyanide, fluorine and other assorted leathal chemicals
I have worked with potentially dangerous microorganisms
and on huge potentially dangerous machinery
I own and use guns
I have in the past worked with explosives..

oh and ...have handled venemous snakes...including taipans

like it is ever not dangerous... it is just lesser degrees of danger.

I still don't really relate to the "until you KNOW they are not....."  life is being aware of the potential dangers, but we bang our shoes out on the ground before putting them on to make sure there are no spiders or snakes in them .. we just adapt to coexist with danger.



P.S Plastic bowl/cup and stiff cardboard is the best way to catch and release a spider. Funnel webs despite their powerful venom are pretty easy to handle.
