Horrific: Woman arrested after 2-year-old son found with dozens of neglected and dead animals
A 25-year-old South Carolina woman was arrested on Tuesday after authorities found her injured 2-year-old son lying on the floor amid more than 80 neglected and dead animals in her house, WHNS-TV reported. “Most of our officers probably were faced with something last night that they probably have not seen in their careers,” Laurens County Sheriff Ricky Chastain said. “It was a very sad situation to see something like this.” The suspect, Savanah Victoria Morgan, was charged with bodily injury of a child, three counts of unlawful neglect of a child, and animal neglect after allegedly changing her story regarding the boy’s injuries. Investigators said she first said he choked while eating potato chips, before claiming she dropped him on the floor. WSPA-TV reported that a local official said on Wednesday that the boy was diagnosed with brain bleeding and retinal injuries, and faces “a major road to recovery.” Morgan’s other two children were placed in the custody of the state Department of Social Services. She was reportedly pregnant at the time of her arrest. Animal Control officials were also dispatched to the suspect’s home in Gray Court, a small community 26 miles from Greenville, after sheriff’s deputies found 88 animals on the property, with the vast majority of them already dead. According to WSPA, 48 dead rats were recovered, along with 10 dead pythons, 11 dead gerbils, and 6 dead tarantulas, among others. Two dogs were found alive, but neglected to the point of starvation. Morgan’s bail was set at $85,000 on Wednesday, with the additional condition that if she posts bail, she would be forbidden from having any contact with her children with approval from state officials. She would also be barred from owning any pets until her case is resolved.

Poor child. I hope he will be alright and not too mentally scarred by this.
She's obviously got mental issues.

Words fail me here to be honest, what that child has gone through Eddie and its not just one child but 3 children.
There is more to this:
GRAY COURT, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Deputies in Laurens County said a pregnant woman faces numerous charges after a 2-year-old boy was found unresponsive and badly bruised in a filthy home filled with dozens of dead and dying animals.
Deputies said they were called to a home on Martin Lake Road just after 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Deputies arrived to find the boy unresponsive with bruises on his face, neck, back and other areas, according to Lt. Scott Franklin.
Deputies interviewed the mother, 25-year-old Savanah Victoria Morgan, who originally told them that the boy had choked while eating chips. Franklin said Morgan later changed her story and claimed that she dropped the child. Doctors said the child may have been dropped, but his injuries were too severe for that to be all that happened, Franklin said.
Morgan -- who's 8 months pregnant -- has been charged with child abuse, as well as two counts each of child neglect. She's also charged with animal cruelty.
Franklin said the 2-year-old was airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where he remained in the intensive care unit on Wednesday.
Deputies said two other young children, ages one and two, were living in the home, which was covered in trash, animal feces and in serious disrepair.
Franklin said what was most shocking was the number of dead and dying animals that were being kept in containers in the home.
