Clerics of major faiths gather in Philadelphia to celebrate LGBT rights movement's 50th anniversary
The Historic Christ Church in Philadelphia was the site of the National Interfaith Service connected to the National LGBT 50th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, July 3.
Speaking were Bishop Gene Robinson, first ordained openly gay Episcopal Bishop; Tynan Power, transgender Muslim faith leader; Rabbi Linda Holtzman, Reconstructionist Rabbinical College; Rabbi Margot Stein, Reconstructionist Rabbinical College; The Reverend Timothy Safford, Christ Church; Reverend Jeffrey Jordan, Pastor, Metropolitan Community Church and The Reverend Susan Richardson, Christ Church. "Ave Maria" was sung by Jonathan Allen, America's Got Talent semi-finalist.
The service recognized that, over the past 50 years, faiths and denominations have increasingly welcomed LGBT parishioners, ordained openly gay clergy, and married same-sex couples.

Nice to see you're coming around on the inclusion of gay people in religious traditions.

I'm happy all these things are happening because it is scripture being fulfilled .

Just saw this, and even though you're gone, I just can't help but mock this.
The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died.
Yea, seas of blood and mass extinction! So exciting! Good golly gosh but my religion is inspiring, especially the parts about Earth turning into Hell!
