Re: First Conservative budget
I would say that most of those would affect most people, so why did the Tories win? Anything good to say about them?

Re: First Conservative budget
I haven't even started. I haven't even considered how Osborne proposes to fund his £12 billion giveaway. But one can gave an educated guess that locsl councils, in particular those run by non Conservative will be hit hard.
As will civil and public servants who will get a 20% budget hit and a further pay freeze for 4 years to add on the the current 5 year freeze.
9 years on pay freeze = abject poverty rather than austerity.

Re: First Conservative budget
well I warned you 2+ years ago that vat would HAVE to rise to cover....
guess what
the huge reduction in revenue from people stopping smoking and moving to ecigs....for which there is NO excuse to tax
the antis have got their way
typically now they dont like the cost....
it is estimated that this alone has lost the treasury some 2 billion....
go figure...
but I did say at the time that this is what would happen....
now suck it up

Re: First Conservative budget
see..having stopped using tobacco and gone to e cigs...I'm in a position that a rise in vat of 2.5% is costing me LESS still than the cost of ciggs...

and you know whats funniest dont you...
you cant very well point your finger at us smokers and say "whaaaah its YOUR fault"
