Seems your words have fallen on deaf ears Cass.
Oh well the funniest part is that I do not drink, but this is the feeble attempt that some use like I said to you to conspire against others.
You will never learn on this, image what they do think about people with drinking problems, if they are like this?
Catch you later

Re: Test for Dodge?
I did think about locking it up and putting it in the basement -- but then I thought, everybody whose voice truly matters gets criticised in this fashion, and maybe it's just something that acknowledges that what he has to say matters enough that people start entire threads about his voice. Maybe this, in its own unintentionally way, is a shrine to the authority with which he speaks.
Thinking of this sentiment in that way, there was no way I could deny Didge the rare honor of a thread acknowledging that someone, somewhere, cares so much about what he has to say, as to mock him Because in my culture, you're not truly loved until somebody takes the piss out of you.

Re: Test for Dodge?
Never asked for this to be locked Ben, myu view is though we are all very low in how we attack each other using such points about people and you are right to me it is flattering that such a thread is started.
The fact they do play off the fact a couple of years ago when I lost both my Father and my brother that I did in fact drink heavily, because I did struggle to come to terms with this double whammy and was open about this, was even seperated because I was at the point of dispair is for some people fairs means to get at others. I pulled myself together and actually do not drink anymore because at the time I saw the signs of I was falling down the road of alcoholism. This is all behind me and got back with my wife, so all is good in the world, I learnt from my mistake. If people wish to use this as a means to get at me, let them, as it just makes me stronger.
If people wish to attack posters this was, of which I am not innocent myself, it just shows the infantile nature of us all, but to use things that do actually affect people in real life and not even understand the struggles they go through where none of us are perfect, is poor to say the least.

Re: Test for Dodge?
Well, if Dodge doesn't want a thread like this made about him, perhaps he shouldn't get so off his face over a weekend that by a Sunday he is posting things like this:
Again this is why you are a pervert.
Only because the character in the film is a prostitute do you associate the child also as a prostitute, which means you are one sick pervert. The fact is the child is wearing an evening dress and without the association of the film would you class the child as a prostitute?
Well as seen your view was of the view to look at young girls sexually.
I would try and hide if I was you.
That is as sick as fuck if you see the child as a prostitute.
It is sick fucks like you that associate children in a sexual way.
Which after Rotheram is no surprise really.
Thus you are the sick fuck, because you are looking atthis child in a sexual way.
Because if that wasn't caused by alcohol it's obviously caused by sheer vileness.
And yes Dodge, I called you a pervert over you laughing at children drowning, because if you can call people perverts because they express an opinion over the appropriateness of the presentation of a child's photo online, I can more definitely call someone who is laughing at children drowning the same thing when it is actually applicable.

To me Sassy viewing a child wearing an elegant dress as a prostitute is as sick as fuck.
Again I do not drink, which seems to go ay over your head.
I stand by the views I made because to me it is as sick as fuck to view a child that way.
The fact is again Julia Roberts did not look like a Prostitute in that dress and if people are make such appalling associations I will tell them exactly what I think of them.
So stop making poor excuses and I never claimed that a thread should not be made about me, others did, as I said to Ben I am flattered.

Re: Test for Dodge?
As long as we cling to a modicum of free speech Didge is entitled to post what he likes. If the Admin take issue they can deal with it. It is ego driven megalomania and sheer bloody arrogance for one poster to dictate what can and cant be posted. Its not difficult, if you don't like what he says don't read it.

Sigh. I just wish he'd get it right tbh
I never said the child was dressed like a prostitute.
I said I didn't think it appropriate to dress a child as the CHARACTER of a proostitute.
And even though I said it umpteen times, as did others, it still went way way over the head of the one who clings to his point like a man drowning in his own opinion.
Never mind.
Back to the OP.
I'd like to change what I drink, getting bored of whisky - anyone got any suggestions? What's bacardi like?

Oh you made a view on the dress Eddie.
It is just a dress and Julia Roberts did not look like a Prostitute either wearing one.
I could understand if she had dressed her up in knee length boots, hot pants etc, but a dress no way.
Sigh

So its not how she is dressed but even though your view is on what she is dressed.
Odd indeed.
I have a fab memory and your view here makes no sense.

Re: Test for Dodge?
Oh look. Here's my first post in the thread:
Right here it is in a nutshell:
This story isn't about what she's wearign but about the inappropriateness of the choice of character for a nine year old girl to dress up as.
When your child goes to school, dressed up for book day or theme day etc, you discuss, with your child, what they may want to wear.
So. Has the girl watched Pretty Woman?
Doubt it.
So that's her mother's choice for a costume then, clearly.
Secondly here's the conversation:
"Mummy, what shall I go as?"
"How about a prostitute in one of mummy's (obviously) favourite films?"
"What's a prostitute mummy?"
"A woman who has sex for money darling....you look bloody fab!"
See where I'm coming from?
Inappropriate, clearly not even the girl's choice and bloody stupid of her airhead mother!
See. I even bolded it for you!
You're welcome!!

Re: Test for Dodge?
Is that all you said Eddie?
Nope and again she was not going as a prostitute but Julia Roberts, unless you think she is a prostitute?
Are you saying she looked like a prostitute by this?
Yes
