Racists on the Paris Metro

These people really are disgusting. They shame this country with their behaviour which has no place in any decent society. I hope they find and name and shame every single one of those who took part in this

Today they named one of them as a Banker who works in The City of London!

Someone I know put this video on Facebook today and someone on my friends list commented saying this:

Let's just say you can't believe the medias portrayal of this event. They are leaving out the events that led to this 'foul behaviour'.
Someone who knows a family member was on that carriage having been to the game and witnessed the goading behaviour the 'victim' was giving to the passengers on that train previously. Funny how that doesn't get shown as well to allow the public to get the full picture!!

Souleymane, withholding his surname, intends to go to the police because the Frenchman feels the culprits 'can't be allowed to get away with it'.

'I didn't know I was being filmed, speaking about it has now given me the confidence to go and complain to the police,' Souleymane told French newspaper Le Parisien. 'I'm going to try and do it tomorrow (Thursday), if I have the time, because I have to work. 'These people, these English fans, must be found, punished and locked up. They can't be allowed to get away with it.' The fans were travelling to Chelsea's Champions League last 16 tie with Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes when their vile chants were filmed at about 7.30pm. Souleymane lives in the Val-d'Oise department to the north of Paris and was returning home from work when Paul Nolan, a British expat, caught the clip that has sparked a police investigation. 'I wanted to get into the carriage but a group of English fans blocked me and pushed me away,' Souleymane continued. 'I tried to force my way on, I kept trying to get back on. In the scramble, I lost my phone. They told me things in English but I did not really understand the meaning of their words. 'I don't speak a word of English. I understood that they were Chelsea fans, and I made the connection with the PSG match, which was taking place the same evening. 'I also understood that they were attacking me because of the colour of my skin. 'You know, I live with racism, I was not really surprised by what happened to me, even if it was a first in the Metro. 'I stood infront of them for a long time. Someone came up to me afterwards and said I'd been brave to stand up to such people. I think the whole thing lasted about six or seven minutes.' Chelsea appealed for witnesses 'to help us with our investigations and to identify those persons involved'. One of the culprits has since been named on Twitter as Josh Parsons. A Chelsea spokesman added: 'Such behaviour is abhorrent and has no place in football or society. 'We will support any criminal action against those involved, and should evidence point to involvement of Chelsea season-ticket holders or members the club will take the strongest possible action against them, including banning orders.' The Football Association backed the Barclays Premier League club's position, while UEFA said they were 'appalled' by the footage.

I'm just telling you what someone has posted. She says that a relarive was told by someone who was there, on the train, that there were events leading up to this horrific behaviour.

Perhaps I'll see if she knows more.

A CHELSEA fan who witnessed a black man being pushed off a train in Paris says it was due to the carriage being full, not because of his skin colour.

Disturbing footage emerged on Wednesday of Blues fans preventing the man from boarding the metro train before the club’s UEFA Champions League tie with Paris Saint-Germain.

The small group then chants: “We’re racist and that’s the way we like it”.

Chelsea have vowed to support French criminal prosecutions and ban any fans found guilty, but 17-year-old supporter Mitchell McCoy - who was on the train - says race had nothing to do with it and that the song was about Blues skipper John Terry.

you can see there is still room on the train.. AND If the people pushing felt that way THEY WERE FEE TO GET OFF
AND they are even chanting that they are Racist

It's unclear whether the young lad Parsons has been involved in the racist chanting but he is now paying a heavy price for just being around these people. If there is evidence that he was then he will have his chance to defend himself in court like everyone else.

What this video does show is the unnacceptable face of racism that exists in this country, and in football, by some people and if this helps people to realise that if they do it then there is a heavy price to pay if they get caught.

Lessons learned I hope.

ON LAST nights news the skinhead Chelsea "fans" who pushed the black man back off the ~ not full ~ carriage can be clearly heard chanting "We're racist, and that's the way we like it !"

In all honesty Eddie, i don't see how he could have been winding them up when the train is only in the station for a couple of minutes, he doesn't speak english so would not have been able to say anything they understood, and they were chanting 'we are racist and we like it'.  Also, in oder to have seen or heard anything your friend's friend would have had to have been close enough to what was going on, so would have appeared on the video.

All,I know is what my friend wrote which is exactly what I copied, above. Im not for one minute saying that shes right sassy, I know she's not lying, but she may have been lied to, perhaps.
I will remember to ask her and absolutely get back to this thread with what she says.

Tbh, she's not someone who normally comments on this type of thing so when I read it, I thought she must have the right info if she had commented?
