Okay I admit it: I love Columbo

He is my rare guilty pleasure.
Anyone else love the Columbo films?

No shame in loving Columbo; he actually came up quite a bit in my journalism classes. Professors thought he'd make a good reporter with his unassuming questioning style that always got people to say more than they intended to say

I loved the Colombo programmes. They used to be on around 8 on a Saturday night so ideal timing just before we'd go out to the pub for a couple of pints.

Yeah, classic schlubby guy who's smarter than he looks. Nowadays I think reporters make more headway if they can make a case for how talking, or even better going on record, would stand to benefit the source; everyone's trying to better their station. But Columbo was still pretty realistic in that you could see how he did what he did.
Kojak takes me back -- I remember living with my grandmother and watching that show practically every night in reruns; he made bald cool

That battered old car of his certainly served him well. Can't remember it ever letting him down. Presented himself as a bit of an idiot completely side-footing the killer.
