LOL.....brilliant
every year after Christmas libraries see a huge increase in tech help from seniors trying to figure out their new technology presents.....you'd be surprised how many of them love it and embrace it.
later on in January and February I hope to run a program matching tech wavy terns with a senior for a Tech Week

I know, right? Seniors often embrace the latest tech. There are some who shun it, like my so-called grandmother, but they're just noticed because they fit the stereotype. But we've got a few seniors posting here regularly, if I'm not mistaken, and they seem to do just fine with media and technology they weren't raised with For that matter, the Internet became "a thing" pretty much in the middle of my life, and I think I probably appreciate it and know more about it than people who learned about it as kids, because hey -- new media technology!
The phrase I hate most is "in my day ..." because dude, if you're alive, this is your day. Your day doesn't end until your death
Re: Grandma Gets a New Cellphone
In "my day" Ben, if you wanted to make a phone call you had to walk a mile to find a big red box with a Telephone in it. There were two buttons A and B, when the person you were calling answered you put in your money and pressed button A to get through to them. If no one answered you pressed button B and got your money back. It's a bit easier now isn't it?

Well, not having to walk a mile would definitely be easier ... but the A/B policy sounds a lot more fair than what some cellular carriers do these days
