Re: The Rules of Bacon
A couple of years ago our local Morrisons had American Bacon on offer,i tried some and loved it although it was much dearer than the Danish bacon I usually had. I bought it for around 6 or 7 weeks then it was taken off sale and was never offered again.I asked why and was told there was no demand for it!

Re: The Rules of Bacon
I found American Bacon to be a bit fatty
we mainly have full rash or short cut, I think full rash is like Canadian bacon its got the roundish bit of meat on one end and stripy meat/fat the rest. short cut is just the roundish bit and only a little bit of fat.
what is Danish bacon like?

Re: The Rules of Bacon
Danish Bacon is mostly "back bacon" or "streaky". It could that getting older you lose your sense of taste because I'm sure it tasted a lot better years ago!

Re: The Rules of Bacon
yeah bacon does vary greatly in taste.
you can tell the difference between the cheap factory farmed stuff and free range.
