Alex Salmond leaves door open for coalition with Labour
The Scottish first minister, Alex Salmond, has hinted he could be open to a coalition between Labour and the SNP, raising the possibility that he could return to Westminster and take a senior role in the government next May.
The SNP leader, who will be replaced by his deputy Nicola Sturgeon later this month, said he would make a decision soon about whether to run as an MP at the general election.
While ruling out a coalition with the Conservatives, he left the door open for a partnership with Labour. This could be a possibility if the SNP continues its strong showing in the polls and takes a large number of seats off Labour next year.
Speaking on the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show, he said: “I certainly think that there’s no chance whatsoever of the SNP ever going into coalition with the Conservative party, with their attitude towards Scotland, and their attitude towards people in general. I think it’s unlikely [with Labour] but who knows, people change sometimes, parties change sometimes, party leaders change sometimes and lead them in a different direction.”

Oh how delicious that would be. A Labour SNP coalition with Alex Salmond as deputy prime minister.
What a shake-up that would be within our political establishment.

Labour love a nationalist party as long as it's not looking after British as a whole or the English....
They seek to destroy the united kingdom and break us up into regions so we can be more easily controlled by the EU dictatorship.
Anyone who supports this is a traitor to the British nation and it's people.

Re: Alex Salmond leaves door open for coalition with Labour
And you forget to mention the over representation of Scottish MP's already in parliament....
"... Scotland appears to the most ‘successful’ region with regards to its parliamentary representation. Scotland is the biggest net exporter of MPs to the rest of the UK: while there are 59 constituencies in Scotland, 85 MPs were born and/or schooled north of the border...."
Plus the last two prime ministers Blair and brown are both Scottish.....
Blair was born in
Edinburgh, Scotland, on 6 May 1953
Gordon Brown was born in Giffnock Scotland and grew up in the industrial town of
Kirkcaldy
Not to mention all the other high ranking Scottish labour MPs who were running this country into the ground during labours term in govt....
But Scotland ended up doing very well out of it all didn't they....!?
Free prescriptions, free university, more money spent per person than anywhere else......
Coincidence....???
Bollocks was it!!!!!
And the cheek to keep up the bullshit moaning that it is the 'London/Westminster parliament' dictating everything to Scotland, and how they are so out of touch with the Scottish people and how Scotland is so hard done by!!!!
You couldn't make it up!!!!

It's a British parliament tommy, I don't see your problem in your above post. As has been said before people vote, they choose who fills seats in Westminster.
I have problems with both Blair and Brown, but being Scottish isn't among them.
As to the EU, didn't recent polls actually reveal more were starting to support it?

Re: Alex Salmond leaves door open for coalition with Labour
I don't have a problem with Blair or brown being Scottish either, or with any Scottish people generally.
But what I do have a problem with is idiots like Alex salmond repeating the lie that it is the 'London/Westminster' parliament dictating things to Scotland and how Scotland is so much worse off than it would otherwise be.
As you rightly said, the UK parliament is made up of MPs from all across the UK, And from every part of the UK, with each MP there to represent everyone from everywhere and are all equally involved in making the decisions for the whole country.
Or at least that is how it is supposed to be.....
But now we have the UK parliament with Scottish, Welsh and NI MPs able to vote and decide on matters that only affect England while English MPs are unable to vote and decide on certain matters that only affect the others.
Surely things were better in the former set up rather than the latter fucked up muddle....

Where is the over representation of Scottish MP's already in parliament
Scotland makes up around 9% of the UK population and the number of elected MPs from Scotland is also around 9%. There is also only one Tory MP in Scotland but we have a Tory led coalition fleecing us for projects down south.

Where they were born or schooled is entirely irrelevant. There are more English MPs in parliament than Scottish MPs and only one Tory MP is from from Scotland.

There are more Scottish MPs in parliament than Scottish constituencies.
You are focusing on one small part of my points and ignoring the rest.
