Did you notice that there's just less stuff in general on the Republican side? Especially with the landmarks ... does it mean more FB users are Democrats? Or that Republicans just don't like as many things?

For Republicans (and conservative minded people generally), I imagine most books, TV shows, music these days are all just teeming with propaganda messages and are part of the 'cultural Marxism' that is apparently destroying western (read, Christian) society....

Republicans are old, white and male, predominately. That's not the demographic that is going to be on Facebook.

Oh, they are. I think I've talked about this before, but anything that has a hint of a political message, you can find someone online claiming it's subverting the youth and brainwashing people to be atheistic socialists.
Example 1 -- A Bug's Life, based on "The Ant and the Grasshopper," which teaches that if you don't work you won't eat:
I just finished watching the 1998 Disney movie “A Bug Life” and despite my hopes to the contrary, I was reminded how pervasive socialist ideology has become in absolutely everything Disney produces. I have come to expect collectivist overtones from Disney’s regular programming, but the extent to which its animated films are full of socialist indoctrination is simply disgusting. Unlike most liberal media companies, Disney produces more than the usual “multicultural” garbage but actually inserts Marxist ideology into the plot of its animated children’s movies.
“A Bugs Life” has all the elements of the topical Disney presentation of the class struggle: the proletariat, represented by the worker ants, the bourgeoisie, represented by the grasshoppers, the greedy slave-driving boss, represented by the “boss flea” in charge of the flee circus.

Example 2 -- Harry Potter:
Christians are people who want to be good,” Hagrid explained wisely; and crouched down so he was on eye level with Harry. “We want to go to heaven after we die. Do you know what heaven is, Harry?”
Harry shook his head; and his big eyes were wide and curious.
“Heaven is a beautiful place where we can be with God.”
Aunt Petunia smacked her hands over Harry’s young ears; and her voice was sickly sweet when she said, “Thank you very much for your concern, sir, but he does not need your religion, he has science and socialism and birthdays. Haven’t you heard of Evolution? I have a very good textbook on Evolution that I could give you on it if you would like to learn things.”
Hagrid laughed wisely. “Evolution is a fairytale. You don’t really believe that, do you?”
“Yes, I do!” Aunt Petunia screeched.
“Well then prove it!”
Aunt Petunia could only stare at him; and her big mouth hung open dumbly. Here she thought she was so educated; and always demanded that Christians prove what they believed in; but she couldn’t even prove her own religion. It was then that Harry knew who the smart one here was!

The Bug's Life thing is absurd, do they think a Disney film where the big business leaders were the good guys would sell? haha
And what on earth is that Harry Potter thing all about!?

it is noticeable ......not sure if its skewed or what......still I loved Mount Vernon and Graceland and cant wait to take Mr. C there (in our 5th wheel when we retire / oh yes I am) but you would have to pay ME to go to the Opry and some other places......Hollywood Forever? WTH? And Stonehenge is ass numbing boring. I used to live 20 minutes away and very proud I never paid a queen's ransom to get in.

On Authors...I don't see Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game). I mention it because he is a notorious homophobe. A Mormon who used to teach at BYU, and in fact was the creative writing teacher of Stephanie Meyer (Twilight). I would think that he would stand out.
In fact, going back, I don't see Meyer either.

Yeah, I love it that one of the world's most lucrative corporations is training its young audience to rebel against it -- that's really amazing.
The Harry Potter thing is a fanfic written by a woman (surely, to be fair, someone who's convinced she's doing the right thing) trying to create a Christian conservative version of HP for her kids. Totally ignoring that the series is about good triumphing over evil and self-sacrifice, and that it even features people rising up against a corrupt government at one point.
I guess to some people, nothing can be good unless it's explicitly in line with, and promotes, their religious faith.

I'm thinking there are fewer Republicans on Facebook -- those guys don't tend to get into much media outside Fox News, or something you can tune in on AM radio here in the States ...
