This summer, homeowners have reported more spiders than ever creeping into their houses: so what better time is there to explore the scariest aspects of spider behaviour? HERE'S how they "milk" the venom from female Funnelweb Spiders, (as is done regularly down at the Gosford Reptile Park, at Somersby on the NSW Central Coast) to produce antivenenes for treating bites to humans, pets (IF those owners are prepared to spend $thousands..), and maybe the more valuable livestock (like $$million$$ horses - if they can possibly get to them in time..) :
