Motorcycle Crash Ends With Biker Standing On The Car Roof
Every now and then a video comes along that leaves you speechless, and this motorcycle crash is one of those.
This incredible video captured using a dash camera shows the moment that a motorcyclist crashes into the back of a car on the motorway.
Rather than ending in disaster the rider is unbelievably flipped over his bike, landing feet first on the roof of the car. If that wasn't enough, he keeps his balance, on a moving car, on the motorway, probably moving at over 60mph.
If that isn't a perfect landing we don't know what is.

Saw that in the morning news.
My question: if he was so adroit in sticking the landing, why not just avoid the car in the first place?
Idiot.

Yes, there's something frightening about using your own body as the superstructure of the vehicle. It's like sailing the Pacific on a pair of water wings. Frankly, I preferred full-sized SUV's or trucks around my daughters when they were growing up...usually GMC Tahoe's or Dodge Ram trucks. The girls made it, so I'm doing something right.
But my brother and I have been fond of motorcycles over the years. Where a motorcycle lacks protection, it does have agility. Most motorcycle accidents are caused by stupid drivers of cars...mothers hurrying to get the kids to school. I don't know how many times an idiot has gone from a stop sign, onto a freeway, right in front of you at 70 mph.

I hate the way bikes sneak up on you, driving in between the traffic. One minute they are the next they're gone plus they can be loud and make me jump

Lane splitting is actually legal and encouraged by police and experts. It moves traffic, saves petrol, and doesn't pose that much of a risk. Most people resent it because it looks unfair. The biggest problem with lane splitting is knuckle-draggers who want to go after the bikers.
Motorcycles are loud generally because they are small vehicles, and the muffler is small as well.
