Child in pram blown onto Tube Tracks after being left by parents
This is the terrifying moment a small child narrowly avoided death after a pram was blown onto Tube tracks.
CCTV captured the the shocking incident at Goodge Street station on the London Underground.
A man left a child in a buggy unattended at the bottom of the stairs in between both platforms, while he went to help other family members.
But wind blowing through the station, caught hold of the pram and pushed it onto the tracks of the Northern Line, seconds after a train had left.
A woman, believed to be the child's mother, realised what had happened and jumped onto the tracks to retrieve the pram only moments before another train arrived.

Jesus Christ!!! That was too bloody close for comfort!!
My pram is really light, it's a bugaboo and you can literally push it with one finger, I think that's the problem with some of these prams now, they are so lightweight that a small wind could easily push it along.
I put my lock on all,the time now (not that I'd leave it at the bottom of the stairs but still) because I remember the story of the woman who left her pram on her driveway only for a few seconds and it went into the road, killing her baby.
Poor, poor woman. There but for the grace of God.
At least this story has a happy ending.

She just jumped off the platform, good job both baby and her did not hit the live wire. Very, very scarey and you are right, strollers are so light. Number of times I have seen women hang shopping bags on the back, they take their hands away and the stoller tips backwards!

Yes!! I've seen that!! Mine has one handle so can't hang bags on it - because it is tempting!
I'd have jumped on that line too, no hesitation, as would most of us mothers.
Bloody scary!

Exactly. I dont even let go of my pram on the bus. I have the break on but still stand beside it.
I hope others learn from this x

Saw that...mom didn't even look for the train. Well, she has to be the mom, cause who else would jump without looking like that?
Too close for comfort.
