I doubt it, seems like this guys says they should and legally technically they should (It's true that you cant suspend laws jsut cause the Olympics is in town)
But Russia Gov't has already said it wouldn't. Don't know hard to see them taking the international flak for doing so.

Quatar is going to be hosting the football world cup pretty soon and whilst i don't agree that the country should be forced to change their laws as there isn't much chance of that tbf i think that gay people that want to travel to the tournament should be protected from any kind of prosecution and there will be an outcry in both Russia and the Emirates and from outside should these imbeciles ever consider trying that imo.
