What an earth is happening?
Ladies semi finals , 4 virtual unknowns.
Mens , Nadal out, Murray out.
Lots of players feeling ill, headaches and puking up.
Looking good for Jocovic.

I know, it's just not cricket! Oh hold on, it's tennis, ah well, perhaps a few new faces are what we need.

The trouble is, Wimbledon has turned into a base line, big hitting blastathon.
Remember old finals days played out on a centre court that were barren of grass across the court, nowadays only the baseline is worn out, whilst the middle court remains pristine and lush.

Bang on Andy.

There should be a speed limit on serves.  It will get to a very dangerous sport very soon without skill.  Just force.

a heavy weight boxer is not allowed to fight against a fly weight, but a 6 oot 8er serving at 130 mph can play opposite a 5 foot 10er serving at 90mph.

Something was very wrong with Andy yesterday though.  I was banned from my own tele by my friends who had come to watch.

Everytime I was in the room he lost.  I went out he won a game.  Until the end.

Non of us could watch it from set two

Murray seemed ill, perhaps the bug that Williams and that other lad had, causing sickness.
Murray isn't one to make excuses.

I think in tennis we are seeing the end of a golden era, Federer will retire soon (a few years at most), Nadal's fitness is unreliable and even he isn't the titan he was 4 years ago. Murray and Djokovic are great but proving not as consistent as everyone thought 12 months ago.

The Federer/Nadal rivalry defined the era, and forced players to up their game accordingly. But that era is coming to a close. There is still great talent but it will be a few years before stars like Nadal and Federer were are formed.

But that is the best thing about sport, how legends are made before us. It has been a privilege watching the Federer era and will continue to be as long as he, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray are playing; and then we can experience a whole new crop take their place Smile

I would agree with that in general Les, but I honestly there's a wee bit more to come from Murray over the next 4/5 years Smile

But Federer has always been something special...

Come on Roger , let's see yer todger!! Laughing

I would like Federer to win today...may even be his last Wimbledon for all we know?
