Florida woman named Crystal Metheney fires missile at car

Crystal Metheney was arrested last month for firing "an offensive missile" at an occupied vehicle. Unbelievably, she was released on $5000 bond. Florida!

Investigative reporter for Jezebel Mark Shrayber even called the Polk County Sheriff's Office to find out if Crystal Metheney was in fact the woman's real name. According to the records, it's fair dinkum. Shrayber even got this out of one of the Sheriff's Office employees: "(Sighs) Sir, this is Florida. We have a lot of interesting names here."

Given what seems like a pretty low bond for firing an explosively lethal weapon at a car, one might be inclined to ask "Just what the hell are they smoking in Florida?" But of course, you already know. You already know.
