Request regarding headlines/titles, sources
Could we try to make our headlines/titles reflect at least slightly the content of the post? For example, "Racists Everywhere" tells you nothing.
I'm all for attention-grabbing headlines, but I would at least like to know a little of what the post concerns before I click.
Also, if you're reporting news, could you please supply a link -- or at least explain that no link is yet available? This is at least nominally a news site; at the very least, we should never report info as though we got it if we learned it from some other organization.

I'm very happy for you, but if you could please write better headlines, that would be super.
Re: Request regarding headlines/titles, sources
Surely the headline is the choice of the poster?

It is, but it should be within reason, of course. You've written headlines that grab attention but don't really say anything about the story; I'm just asking for a bit more info in the headline.
If you wanted to take that to extremes, you could do something like this:
Arsenal Defeats Liverpool
Re: Request regarding headlines/titles, sources
Well of course a homosexual news source is going to say that Arsenal defeated Liverpool!

Ornery is one thing, responding to a polite request with 'NO, I'll never do anything you ask' is a bit different, don't you think?
Re: Request regarding headlines/titles, sources
personally i'd have thought that doing just that was the pinnacle of "ornery-ness" a height that few can aspire to, let alone achieveBen_Reilly wrote:victorisnotamused wrote:

I actually meant the business of "lol" -ing off a thread. It's annoying (BA's specialty).
