Met Office to analyse 'unusual' British weather
Around 20 of the UK's top climate scientists are to meet at the Met Office headquarters in Exeter to discuss Britain's "unusual" weather patterns.
They will try to identify the factors that caused the heavy snow in the winter of 2010 to 2011, the long, wet summer of 2012 and the Spring of 2013, which is the coldest on record in 50 years.
The Met Office hopes the meeting will identify new priorities for research.

Hot sticky and the air is still
We really have some very strange weather!
Scientists running an experiment on the temperature of the Earth’s core have found that it is around 6000 degrees Celsius, 1000 degrees hotter then a similar experiment conducted 20 years ago. This is all very interesting and scary at the same time.
